My k850i is dead and i tried fixing it with the SEtool lite v1.11 ...it worked once bu than again it died ...plus there is no option for this phone in Setool i seleted k800 instead ...now it did worded once again but then it was connected to the pc while it turned off all of a sudden... please tel me proper procedures to fix it and downloads i need to do etc .. thank you

When your phone tries to come on and goes back off after vibrating for a second or two.

This is due to the fact that the battery is completely dead and is trying to pick up when you plugged it to the charger.

Try to charge the battery of your phone in another phone before fixing it back into your phone.

turn it on before trying to charge it again.


make sure the battery never runs out before you charge it back.

which code? do you mean phone security code? a programme called setool lite can reset it if this if that is what you mean.

(unpack with winrar or winace to a new folder, your antivirus may tell you its a virus but this is a false positive due to flash drivers)

make sure ya battery is full before you start this.

remove sim and memory card

put battery back in phone but do not switch on

open setool lite by clicking the phone icon inside the folder

select w200 on the list at the top and press read gdfs nothing else

press and hold 'c' and connect usb cable

it will then say found new hardware and ask for drivers which are located in the folder that has setool lite inside (this may take a few mins)

when it has read the phone it come up with a log on the left hand side and will say done at the bottom.

your phone security code is now reset to 0000

a programme called setool lite could reset the code back to 0000

turn antivirus resident sheild off (it will report this programme as a false positive)
when downloaded extract file with winrar

turn phone off and remove sim and memory card
do not turn phone back on!
select k550 in the list
press 'identify' on setool lite
press and hold 'c' on the phone and plug usb cable in

it will ask for driver which is in the setool lite folder so direct it to there

after driver installed setool will then read your phone and displa info on the screen

as soon as that has finished unplug your phone, put sim and memory card back on and the security code should be reset to 0000

that can be done by using se tool lite and simox unlock patch generator,

Download SeTool 2 lite

1. Start SeTool 2 lite
2. Press Unlock\Repair Button, The first button.
3. Reinsert Battery
4. Connect phone holding 2+5
5. Wait, SeTool 2 lite will repair the EROM, it will flash it back.
6. Done

Now you can start your phone.

You have to Upgrade the EROM and the SW. It's done by service software only, something like setool and cruiser tools.Search on google for setool and cruiser.

I think there is a setool lite version who can help you solve the problem for free just by reflashing the SW of the device.
