Laptop heatup is mainly due the clogged heat sink and fan etc, which requires to be cleaned. Laptop shuts dwon automatically when reaches the temperature limit to prevent damage. It is strongly recommended that you clean the heat sink etc yourself or seek help from authorized professional at the earliest to avoid any damages to the PC.
If you are familiar with working inside such electronics, then you can do it yourself after studying the following useful links about CQ-50 Disassembly. On the contrary, if you dont have sufficient experience/ idea about opening/ repairing laptops, DONT try it and get assistance from a professional,

this is actually a design flaw problem for the cq line, the case has vents underneath but none on sides, even rear vents point downwards. hot air cant escape properly, even on a table surface.

I blew out fan and it worked for 2 weeks then it started shutting off again. I found lint in fan after using your diagram so just blowing it out isn't a good idea. I still have shuts offs to the point I can't even run diagnostics. I noticed the copper has a little redness where it meets processor is this part burnt now what else can I do?

I found out I must clean and replace the heatsink thermal compound between heatsink and CPU.

Have a blodget dfg-50 oven that will intermittently shut down both the heat and blower at the same time, will restart itself after a period of time.

Either it is overheating and shutting down or the mechanism that regulates the internal temp is faulty and just shutting down prematurely.

Dryer shuts off prematurely. When I try to restart, it just buzzes. After an hour or 2 it restarts, but shuts down again after 20-25 minutes.

It is overheating for some reason , make sure the filters are clean and the dryer is not close to any wall. make sure the drum is free to turn and not binding.

Compressor shuting down

Either the thermostat is prematurely shutting down the compressor or the latter is overheating and the clixon is shutting it down.

The defrost timer also will shut down the compressor and all fans but that is only once every 10 hours or so to defrost unit. In about t10 15 minutes the timer will turn the compressor back on.

Shuts down unexpectingly when running game programs

Is the Laptop Overheating? During intense game play your Laptop will Overheat if it's not getting sufficient air flow. Try cleaning the Fan, vents, heatsing with Compressed Air, Improve air flow through the Laptop, a Laptop Cooler is a option. Try shutting down unnecessary processes, I use freeware RAZER GAME BOOSTER, you configure what you want to shut down: http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster Remember, Your machine usually shuts down for a good reason, it's trying to protect vital components. Overheating will fry the CPU, Graphics Adapter, etc.

Thinkpad A22m 2628-3SU laptop premature shutdown

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

When i am going to format, laptop is shut down during format

Hi there.
Remove the battery and try to format the HDD on AC power only, if it still shuts down get a tin of compressed air and give short blasts through the air vents and the CPU fan which will be located on the underside of the laptop, this will remove any dust or foreign objects from the machine which could be causing it to shut down prematurely.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Dryer runs and heats but shuts off prematurely

It could be the timer or the sensor as well. Before replacing parts, it may just need a cleaning. If you are not familiar with the product then you should call a professional. The dryer is designed to shutoff when it is overheating, which as you stated it heats up nicely, but shuts off.

Lint, the unfortunate result of drying gets on the sensors and other parts and causes them to react prematurely. If you haven't cleaned the unit, it may just need that, if not I would then say start looking at replacing parts. For safety concerns, you should have your dryer cleaned yearly.

Another thing to check is the exaust for kinks or blockage, when this happens it causes heat back into the unit and again shuts it down.

Give those a try and it may just solve your problem.

Thanks,
Paul
