I paused the cycle after about 3 minutes of starting the machine to add an item. There is water in the machine and I cannot restart and I cannot cancel the cycle. What should I do?

First of all you don't have to paused the machine as it is on spin it get stucked with the clothes and gets difficult to run again when restarted.you can put more water if it stucked .but next time you must collect each and every clothes you want to wash so that your machine do not get shocked.

I pressed the pause button to add a garment to my Whirlpool frontload washer. After doing so, I pressed the hold to start button, but the washer would not restart the cycle.

Switch the power off from the power outlet for a few minutes , then switch on and reset the wash cycle . Front loaders are not designed to add clothes mid wash.

LE error on LG 2277HW

Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.

Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.

Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.

Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.

Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

Has a large load size been used with a gentle wash setting?
Gentle wash cycles such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because the cycles are more gentle while tumbling and spinning, too many items in the drum can register as an issue with the motor. In this instance reset the unit and run a test rinse and spin cycle.

Has the washer been overloaded?
Single bulky items or large loads can add extra weight to the drum and place stress on the motor. Remove some of the clothing and restart. If the issue is still present after a few items have been removed, unplug the washer for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool and then restart the cycle.

The washer stops half way through all cycles and displays "oL" .

Error oL means overload.
If the "oL" error code appears, the washer has been filled with a load that is too large for its capacity, causing it to drain.

*Remove some items from the washer and add more detergent since the previous amount will have drained with the water.
*Close the washer and press the START/PAUSE/Cancel button to remove error displayed and restart the cycle.

If Pause/Cancel does not work:

*Unplug washer or disconnect power for one minute.
*Plug in washer or reconnect power.
*Re-select the cycle and press Start.

NOTE: If the error remains on the display, and the condition above has been checked, call for service.

Hope this helps.. :)

Rental...no manuel...first time using washer. pushed regular, large, cold, pause resume. When it finished filling with water it beeps 3x than stops for a couple minutes then beeps 3x etc. It is filled...

Your problem is with the pause/resume button. This button allows you to add/remove items before the cycle is complete. If you press this button and there is water in the machine it will beep for a period of time (3 mins) and then empty the machine automatically so you can open the door. After opening the door the cycle can be restarted again by pressing the pause/resume button again.
