Hi-- none of the solutions I've read here are working. Same problem, dryer not starting, it says "Sensing..." and then "Wet" and does nothing. It worked fine on the last load, except I noticed it read 11 minutes for a very, very long time (I think it got stuck). New load? "Sensing..." etc.

I had the same problem with mine and is only four months old.Un-plug the dryer, pull the rotating knob from the control panel, then remove the control panel by removing two screws in the back, after pulling the control panel you will find a tech sheet, with the help of this sheet locate the thermal fuse, remove the one screw holding it to the dryer and remove the two cables from the fuse. You can buy a generic fuse for about $5. or the original for $15. I bought mine at AP WAGNER, they have everything. Good luck.

I have a Kenmore Elite HE3 electric dryer that won't come on.

The error message you are seeing on your Kenmore Elite HE3 dryer could be caused by a few different things. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the power supply: Make sure the dryer is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker or fuse is not tripped or blown.
  2. Check the door switch: If the door switch is faulty, the dryer may not start. Check that the door switch is engaging properly when the door is closed.
  3. Check the thermal fuse: The thermal fuse is a safety feature that can cause the dryer to not start if it is blown. Check the thermal fuse for continuity with a multimeter.
  4. Check the belt switch: If the belt switch is faulty, the dryer may not start. Check that the belt switch is engaging properly when the belt is in place.
  5. Check the moisture sensor bars: The moisture sensor bars can become coated with fabric softener residue, causing the dryer to stop mid-cycle. Clean the bars with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth.
  6. Check the control board: If none of the above steps work, the control board may be faulty and need to be replaced.
If you are unsure how to perform any of these steps, it may be best to contact a professional appliance repair technician.

The dryer turns on but isn't warming up so clothes are not drying.

Look for goop on the dryer sensing bars. get some windex and clean them . The moisture sensing bars send back resistance readings to the control. No moisture sensed and the control thank they ain't no wetness in them clothes, it goes for cooldown and shuts down with wet clothes.
thats one scenaio. if that don't fix it we will go to the next step. let me know

How can I check the control panel for my dryer, to make sure that is the problem?

Ha Ha what is the problem? Let guess64e70f6.jpeg
Obviously it ain't drying the clothes. Maybe it ain't even running?
Or it could be working just for not too long. If it has auto sensing then the moisture sensing strips might be clogged with something that is preventing the dryer from sensing wetness.1753c2e.jpg That is easy, just windex them sensing strips. If they can't sense wetness then the control will shut down quickly and the clothes will be wet. Lets see what else the crystal ball has...I have some manuals HERE

GGW9200 Dryer Does Not Dry. Status Light goes immediately to Wet

if the heat is only staying on for a few seconds and cutting out the vent line could be clogged, pull out the dryer, remove the vent line from the back and start it,if the heat stays on the vent is blocked, this is the easiest thing to start with,if the vent is clogged you can try a leaf blower and blow the lint out of the vent line

GE Profile Harmony Electric Dryer - Starts out heating but then screen says SENSING

nicknames, usually with long dry times I suspect a pinched or clogged vent. Make sure you check that first. You can do a test to check the moisture sensor. The 2 sensor bars will be on the inside of the drum just below the vent cage. Press the home and then help button. Next press and hold the help and start/stop button for 3 seconds. On a dry sensor, you should see a voltage of approx 4.75 displaying. Now get a wet rag and hold them across the 2 sensor bars. You should see the voltage drop to about 1.0 volts. If it does this your sensor is ok. Check the vent and this out first and we will take it from there. Catriver.
