My Bosch electric kettle is leaking and also stops working before reaching boiling point. What shld I do?

If your Bosch electric kettle is leaking and stopping before reaching boiling point, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check for Obvious Leaks: Examine the kettle for any visible cracks, holes, or signs of damage. Ensure that the water isn't leaking from the base or any seams. If you find any leaks, it's likely that the kettle needs to be replaced, as repairing leaks can be challenging and may compromise safety.
  2. Inspect the Power Base: Examine the power base of the kettle to ensure that there are no electrical issues. Make sure the power cord is securely connected and that there are no exposed wires.
  3. Check Water Level and Boil-Dry Protection: Ensure that you are filling the kettle with an appropriate amount of water. Some electric kettles have a minimum and maximum water level indicator. Additionally, many kettles are equipped with a boil-dry protection feature, which automatically turns off the kettle if it detects insufficient water. Make sure you are not accidentally triggering this safety feature.
  4. Descale the Kettle: Mineral deposits from hard water can build up inside the kettle and affect its performance. Descaling the kettle can help improve efficiency and prevent issues. You can use a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar to descale the kettle. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for descaling.
  5. Contact Customer Support: If the issues persist, and your kettle is still under warranty, contact Bosch's customer support or the retailer where you purchased the kettle. They may provide guidance on troubleshooting or offer a replacement if the product is defective.
  6. Consider Professional Repair: If the kettle is no longer under warranty and you cannot resolve the issues yourself, you might consider taking it to a professional appliance repair service. They can assess the problem and determine if it's worth repairing.

RUSSELL HOBBS 18941 KETTLE has slow leak from the bottom of kettle.

They are pretty much a disposable item when they fail. You could try repairing with epoxy putty. Some bases can be screwed a bit tighter.

My take care of works but it leaks at the bottom how do I fix that

If your electric tea kettle is leaking water from the bottom, it is likely that the seal or gasket between the heating element and the kettle body is damaged or worn out. Here are some steps you can take to fix the issue:
  1. Unplug the kettle and let it cool down completely before attempting any repairs.
  2. Check the bottom of the kettle for any visible cracks, holes, or damage. If you find any, you may need to replace the entire kettle.
  3. If the bottom of the kettle looks fine, remove the base of the kettle by unscrewing the screws or pressing the release button (depending on the model). This will expose the heating element and the gasket.
  4. Inspect the gasket for any signs of wear or damage. If it looks worn or torn, you will need to replace it with a new gasket. You can find replacement gaskets at the manufacturer's website or an appliance parts store.
  5. Carefully remove the old gasket and clean any residue or debris from the gasket groove.
  6. Install the new gasket in the groove, making sure it is properly seated and not twisted or pinched.
  7. Reattach the base of the kettle and tighten the screws or press the release button to secure it in place.
  8. Test the kettle to ensure that it no longer leaks.
If you are uncomfortable attempting these repairs yourself, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer's customer service or a professional appliance repair technician to assist you.

Oster water kettle leaking from bottom of unit when pouring?

If you're not just simply missing the opening a little as you're pouring then I'd assume it's cheaper to replace than to repair, sorry.

If it's leaking from the side-glass you might get by with filling your kettle just under the lower end of the side-glass.

Leaking jug

A common cause is the calcium, or some other minerals in the water eventually ate through the bottom of the tank. You will need a new tank, or better... A new kettle.

My tea kettle leaks from the bottom

I just took ours apart for the same reason. In our case, it turns out that one of the two water indicators was cracked (at the top), causing the leak. The cracks were invisible without taking it apart.

There's a bigger leak near the bottom of the same piece, where a piece of the plastic is missing:

On the upside, the wk600 is really well designed - easy to take apart for repair. But I can't find replacement parts anywhere...
