Hi guys, i have an RC Helicopter (model RC8703) with 3 channel. However, it flew the first time i load a 6 AA battery. After about a couple of days, it won't fly anymore. I have replace the battery, turn the switch off on the helicopter and place the controller "on" to recharge it. But the green light never came on though the controller was move to on position. I am wondering if after plugging the cable from the controller to the switch on the helicopter, i was suppose to switch the bottow off or on on the controller thats why it did not charge. I need help. Thanks

This type of helicopter uses a fixed pitch blade. Have you recently replaced one or all the blades? If the blades are correctly positioned then once the motor comes to speed, the pitch of the blade creates enough lift to overcome the force of gravity. The problem you're having can only be that the motor is not coming to speed or the blades have been replaced but the pitch is now at the wrong angle.

This is a battery fault, unfortunately pretty common. How old is this helicopter? It may still be under warranty.

My wife bought one of thsoe for me for my birthday. I charged it for an hour - turn off the helicopter power switch and plug in the charge plug on the control - the control must be on. anyway the thing doesn't have enough lift to get off the ground. It just skitters along the ground. Also the tail rotor doesn;t do anything. The parts list identifies a tail motor so it should do something. Going to return it to the mall. That's a hassle! I would try to fix the tail motor, but if the thing can'e even get off the ground what's the point? Any info send it to rsockey at yahoo dot com.
