We are renting our townhouse. It came with a gas Kenmore oven. Someone (maybe even me) has done something to trigger the "LOC" display on the oven, meaning the door is locked, presumably for self-cleaning. But it doesn't appear to be cleaning itself (It's not warm). How do you unlock the oven?

Hi
First press the CANCEL/Delay button for 20 seconds...If this won't work then you can start the self cleaning cycle again and then stop it after 15 minutes, then let the oven cool for sometime and check if the door opens again, if the not then you have to take a screw driver and open the latch. After this the latch mechanism should be replaced as it is bad. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Digital display on gas oven keeps turning off without power loss to it.

you may have a bad display board or just a bad solder connection on it. Either way, if you don't have any electrical skills, this should be done by a qualified technician.

Whirlpool range LOC

This may be a child lock feature. Look for a padlock symbol on the panel. Usually you have to press and hold this for a few seconds to shut off this feature.

My Kenmore 911-4298814 oven won't hold broil or bake temp setting. The oven powers on with no error. When I press the "Bake" and dial up a temperature to (say) 350 degrees, the LCD displays...

just had similar problem with frigidaire, temp display would go blank, not even show clock, i took off back of stove, the circuit board would wiggle. when i pushed in on the circuit board it worked correctly.

I hope you have found already solution for this... Anyway this may help others: press buttons 1 and 2 together and release. Then use jog wheel to adjust time. Wait 5 seconds and you're done. Gorenje manual sucks, no info about oven controls. I managed even to set on oven child lock (key symbol), only way to take it off was to remove fuses from electric board of our house!

My oven/stovetop isn't turning on, and it says "LOC" on the screen. Its like the stove won't ignite. What should I do?

To lock/unlock the controls: Turn all surface burners off.

Touch and hold the GAS/CONTROL LOCKOUT pad for 3 seconds until the display shows LOC.

To unlock the control, touch and hold the GAS/CONTROL LOCKOUT pad for 3 seconds until LOC disappears from the display.

Display says loc

The LOC is for the buttons, it's a safety feature. One of the buttons should say "lock" or something next to it in small text. Hold the button down until the indicator goes off. If this does not solve the problem how about a make and model or something to help us out??!!

Cannot get display clear on kenmore oven

Unplug the cord behind the oven. You'll need to pull out the oven a bit. Not too far as the flexable gas line is there also. Wait 10 min and replug the oven. This will reset the curcuit board after the power surge.
