So you can no onboard video when using the onboard connection right? and no video using an external video card also right? In this case, the promblem lay with the motherboard/ram/cpu and not with your video card. Try resetting the bios via taking out your cmos battery or shorting the cmos pin to see if a miracle would happen and the system would post. If not and if you have another board with compatible hardware, then you can try testing out the cpu, the rams. If you hear beeps when starting up the system, try to take note of it and look up on the internet via what bios make it is, and decode the beep error for what is wrong. If you don't her any beep, the other way only to know what is wrong is having another compatible board to test your cpu/ram, or make sure the ram and cpu you are using is supported by the asrock motherboard. If you do have another board to test your cpu/ram and even the video card, and they work, then your motherboard is scrap and needs to be replaced.
