I now have Works, rather than Word on my computer. I also now have Hotmail rather than OutLook Express . . . which both are a heartache to me. One reason is that I used to be able to highlight and drag portions of the content of email letters to Word, then print only what I needed, not the entire email. BUT, I am now no longer able to do that. Can you help me?

Highlighting is similar to cutting the portion of text to be pasted at an alternative area on the page displayed. Right clicking on the portion of text should generate the features list to cut text as copies to be later pasted onto another area. A situation where text cutting or copying is achievable though does to allow to paste on the same area has alternate capabilities of achieving success. Cut the email text required paste to an opened empty Microsoft word document to edit into desired specifications. Usually, the email has least capacity to allow several functions all at once. A cut text may be possible least allowing pasting since the program is still in enable mode until uncut is achieved. For example, cut the portion required to paste on clipboards or Microsoft word document. Once the text that was cut is pasted elsewhere, the function of cut has been disabled. Returning to the email area requiring pasting should be achievable with an open display area requesting a past feature. In which instance, the open Microsoft document contains the copy that would provide display to the email section requesting displays.

You don't need Outlook Express to sent or receive your Email if since you already have an Email account like Hotmail or any other online free Email Accounts. You can sent or receive your Email through Hotmail account.

Outlook Express is already bundled with WinXp when the OS is installed to your PC/Laptop. Unless you want to download your Email to Outlook Express and you need to configure Outlook Express to receive Email from your Hotmail Account.

How can we use the outlook express 6 to check

Open Microsoft Outlook and from the "Tools" menu select "Email Accounts." The email account wizard will pop up.
Choose "Add a new email account" from the list of options and click the "Next" button. Then, select "HTTP" and hit "Next" again. Now you are ready to input information about your Hotmail account.
Select "Hotmail" from the drop down menu at the right. Enter the name that you want to associate with this account in the "Your Name" field. This is the name that appears when you send someone an email from Outlook.
Input your Hotmail email address in the "Email Address" field. Your user name will automatically be filled in when you do this.
Provide the password to your Hotmail account in the "Password" field. Put a check mark in the check box below if you would like for Outlook to remember your password. This will save you from having to enter your password every time you download your Hotmail email with Outlook.
Hit the "Finish" button to complete the setup of your Hotmail account. Now, when you select "Send and Receive" Outlook will synchronize with Outlook. Too see your Hotmail email, select "Inbox in Hotmail" from your list of mail folders.

My computer has stopped downloading E mail to Outlook, it is on Hot Mail but apparantly the outlook Connector has stopped. Have been getting messages to upgrade for several months but the URL gigen only...

Hotmail not too long ago stopped their POP3 service for programs like Outlook and Outlook Express. I have advised my clients who use Hotmail to migrate to a POP3 free service such as Gmail, which can be easily configured for Outlook Express, Outlook, Blackberry, etc.

The upside is that you will be able to view e-mail in Outlook again. The downside is that there is no way to migrate the Hotmail e-mail into Gmail, other than forwarding each message to your new Gmail account. Additionally, you will need to notify all your contacts of your new address.

Hope this helped :)

My Outlook Express Won't work

Sounds like it's self explanatory. Perhaps Hotmail is no longer free for Outlook Express. If you would like to use Outlook Express as your defautl email client and use a POP3 based email account, may I refer you to www.hotpop.com? You can apply for a free POP3 email account which you can set up to run with your Outlook Express. You may also want to check into www.gmail.com. They support web based inboxes as well as POP3 configuration for your Outlook Express.
