PS3 will not play blue RayWell after a year of research It has been discovered that there is a problem with the design some may even say that Sony has designed this player to fail after so many hours of use.It is odd that everyone who calls for help from Sony with units that cannot Play blue ray get the same answer 200.00 bucks please, The guy even was bold enough to say he knew what it was and could fix it 200.00 PLEASE It is a major issue and Sony is well aware of the failure Because it was part of there game all along .I have over 1000.00 in blue ray movies and you can bet I will not be replacing this machine or buying any more Sony product. I am going to try and set up a class action suit and show that Sony all along manipulated the public and is manipulating us to this day with there PS3 players!!!!!!! and products that have built in soft ware to fail at certain times or events. How do I know you ask .........work for Sony:)
You have an array of problems over there. You need more help than I can give you here: This is the 2nd most common problem
with PS3's. This isn't a bad problem. Your laser/lens will need to be
replaced. Do you see the time clock in the top right corner going
around and around? If so, you are just having laser/lens problems. If
you do not see the time icon spinning when you insert a disc, your
PS3's Blu Ray drive controller board has gone bad and you will need
to send it to Sony and not a
3rd party technician. Certain problems
are only repairable by Sony. Good luck. There are many videos on
youtube if you would like to do it yourself (I would advise you not
to). I recommend that you find a technician who has experience. There
are many things that can go wrong. When you replace your hard drive, you
will need to have the latest firmware on a
usb stick. Download the firmware from
the playstation official website onto a usb
stick. Once prompted by your system you
will need to insert the usb stick into the
PS3. Good luck.. You will need 2.5" Sata Hard
Drive.
For the disc's that aren't reading:
The downloaded games not playing and returning to the PS3 sign - I blame your hard drive. If you decide to change it:
For the controller:
There is a little pin sized hole on the back of the controller. Find a safety pin (or similar) and press and hold this button for a few seconds. Plug the usb cable back into the controller and to the system and this should solve your syncing problem. If not, then you are facing a sever motherboard meltdown..
Every playstation 3 will eventually die and become totally unresponsive, even after repair(s)
Good luck.
