  • *Turn off your Dell laptop.

*Connect speakers to the speaker control box. The speaker control box varies depending on the speaker system you have. Two-speaker systems will have a female jack on the back of one speaker that you plug the other into the second speaker. If your system has a sub-woofer, all of the other speakers will plug into it. The connecting cords are color-coded to the jacks on the back of the control box.

*Plug an audio cable into the "Audio-In" port on the back of the control box. If the audio cable is color-coded, it will be green.

*Plug the other end of the audio cable into the headphone jack on your laptop.

*Plug the speakers' power cord into a surge protector to protect your system from power surges. *Plug the surge protector into a wall outlet.

*Turn on your speakers and set the volume at a medium level. Be prepared to turn the volume up or down after you turn your laptop on.

*Turn on your laptop and confirm that sound is coming from your speakers.

What cable connects a Dell PC to a Harmon Kardon HK395 sub woofer?

3.5 m/m. Normally it is color coded green. The pink connects the subwoofer to the speakers. Any color will work. Just mark both ends of wire jacks.

Is there a way to connect my Dell MMS 5650 speakers to a Macbook Pro laptop or a wireless router? Where can I find cables for converting? Thanks!

The speakers should directly connect to the "line-out" socket on your Macbook computer, without any need for adapters.

I have _never_ seen a wireless router that had _any_ "audio" capability -- what you're asking for seems to be unreasonable.

Any "Dollar Store" or the "big-box" stores (such as Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples, Future Shop, Wal-Mart) should have adapter-cables.

There are 3 colored inputs from the woofer into the cpu. green, black, and yellow. my question is, where do they get plugged in?

The green is your speaker out. Don't worry about the black or yellow unless you are using a microphone or need to record to your PC with Line In.

Where to plug in microphone on dell dimension 5150 pc

Look on the back of the unit for a Pink connector.
The sound card usually has the Speakers, inline and Microphone color coded. Some Dell units have a microphone and speaker connection located in the front. Door swings up or out to reveal extra USB plugs and these connectors.

    Good luck!
    Hope this helps!

    Help with speakers!@!@!@@!!

The odd plug coming out of the speakers is to connect to a power adapter to power the speakers, the other is to plug into the output plug of your sound card. Normally this is color-coded on the back of the computer in a light green colour.
