42PF7321D/37 LED Light Blinking RED

I have the Philips 42" model and the LED Light is blinking RED 1 Long Blink followed by 1 Short Blink. Can someone tell me what this means and how difficult is it to correct the problem.

My 42PF7321D/37 is about 18 months old - picture went out, first the top half, then the bottom half - the LED on the lower left hand side just blinks red. Philips no help - repair man says he's not sure may be a bad logic board or panel - logic board is about $300 plus labor, panel is about $1000. Anyone have any ideas - I can change boards if I knew which one.

I also have the same problem. First I would push the power button and the green LED would come on, but no picture. Shortly after the green led will turn a blinking red. Maybe after a couple hours the tv will decide to pop on. However, every time we turned it off we would know if it would come back on. So we left it on without turning off the power for about 3 days and the tv just shut off. This was two weeks ago and it has not come back on. Just a blinking red led.

My dad had this happen too. after some research, we found out that there are two capacitors on the power supply board right next to the connector for the main logic board that went bad. you can just pull those out and solder in new ones, and it works like new again! i found a repair kit on ebay for $35 including shipping, and that's all it took!

I have a 42" philips plasma with 8 red blinks

90% of the time this is capacitor related in the power supply, Remove the back and check for capacitors that are domed shaped on top, Replace these and all should be ok.

No power to my Phillips 42 inch Plasma 42pf7321d/37, just a red blinking light

Most likely it going to be a power supply related problem. The red blinking light is a code for a TV tech to diagnose the problem on the power supply board itself or the board that regulates the power for the screen. Some manufactures call it a Backlight Inverter Board. A TV repair shop should be able to look at it for you and tell you which board is bad.

Power problem for phillips 42 plasma 42pf7321d/37

That blink don't mean nothing. Measurements need to be made. Don't just buy the board troble shooting would need to be done to see witch board is bad. Also look on the fron of the set and see how many time the led flashes. That wher your error code comes from..

Philips 42PF5321D/37 Error Codes

replacing ssb for 4 blink error was correct as error is communication failure specific to micro processor on ssb. getting an alternate error after replacing ssb would suggest either wrong ssb or defective ssb. verify vendor number on ssb tuner on original and new ssb and if same reorder that board and if not order per original board
