Attempt changing the option by using the menu button on the tv (changing it manually).

the tv does not have a menu button its a tv/dvd combo so it just has the power button the volume buttons the channels button and then the regular buttons for a dvd like the fast forward, rewind play ,stop

  • Anonymous Jan 25, 2011

Thats a problem. Emerson does not recommend universal remotes (go figure). Mainly this is because the codes will not work properly with the remotes, so some buttons may not work. You will probably need to contact Emerson for a replacement remote.

  • Anonymous Jan 25, 2011

how much do you think that will cost ?

  • Anonymous Jan 25, 2011

I am not sure without knowing the serial number (part number) of the remote. Prices can range from $25 (OEM replacement websites) to maybe $50 (from Emerson).

Programming cable channels for emerson tv vcr dvd combo

To see RCA's code list you probably need their website but Emerson is one of several names now owned and built by Funai, who also builds Symphonic & Sylvania.
You might want to try those codes with your set.
