I have my Onkyo tx ds656 hooked up to my HDTV via the cable box. Everything works fine, except that there is a noticible delay in the syncronozation of the sound and the video. Is there any way to correct this?

Some receivers have a sound delay control which you can use to try to sync them up. I didn

I have an audio problem with my TX-SR502.

If your remote also controls the Cable Box you might want to look at its audio settings. Maybe you muted it.

BTW: it would be a good idea to also run video and analog audio from the cable box directly to the TV if it has speakers so you can watch and listen independent of the Onkyo.

Video Issue with Onkyo 606 when trying to watch Cable TV.

When this happens and you just see the input label try to press the power button on the front of the cable box and see if it brings the picture up. If this does produce the picture then it is a good possibility that something is interfering with the remote communicating with the cable box. I don't know if you have it contained in an entertainment center or how you have placed your equipment but if there is glass try to clean it and also wipe down the front of the cable box and make sure there is an unobstructed view of the front of the cable box.
Good Luck.

Remote Control Not Communicating with TX-DS787

Hello, I am sorry about your issue. Your hook up should have nothing to do with the remote. You should get some functions like on/off, volume control. Thank you, Onkyo, USA
