Lex Lambda interface on OSX 10.6 has been working OK. It no longer does. Sound breaks up evert other second. Get "sample rate conflict" message from LOGIC PRO. Have gone back to Fast Track Pro whicj works fine but I find it a little more noisy than the Lex. Any suggestions? Much obliged.

OSX means a MAC not a PC. There is no sound card. It is perhaps a MAC conflict with an audio

plug-in. But the same LOGIC plug-ins are also in place for OSX 10.4.11 and with that sysyem there are n o problems.

The error message sounds like there is a problem with buffer overuns. You might check if you have anti-virus or other background resource 'hogs" that interrupt the smooth flow of data. This is just a suggestion.

Hi. I think this is a simple fix.

I would uninstall your sound card software and reinstall it, as this sounds like thesoftware has a corruption issue. Reinstalling it should fix the problem.

Also, check your computer to make sure that there aren't any other interface software that is trying to use the same resources...i.e. irq, dma, or memory areas.

These can effect it as well. Also, you may have installed software that is calling on a specific region of memory, and that may be the same memory area as the Lex Lamba.

It may be that it an OS Xissue as well, so I would check to make sue that none of it's software is conflicting.

I know this may seem like a lot of different things, but you may find that after just doing the replacement of the software that the problem goes away.

If not, then at least now you know what areas could be causing it.

One other thing that you can try is to uninstall the sound card form the pc, and reinstall it in another location on the motherboard...i.e. move from one pci slot to another. It could be a slot problem.

Good luck, and I hope my info has been helpful to you.

I have an error message that says: Error wile trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI Sample Rate 38441 reciognized. Check conflict between GarageBand and external device. Any suggestions?

what you need is a "FULL DUPLEX ASIO DRIVE",which you get with programs like cubase sx, this is like a universal driver which has always synced any audio equipment i've hooked up to my computer, internal & external.make sure it's the full duplex & not the asio4all v2.
But really you shouldn't be having much trouble if your using a USB midi interface.unless your computers sound card is ****.
try resetting the sound cards sample rate to 44100HZ which is the standard rate for most audio,or 48000HZ for digital.

Sometimes power comes on and sometimes it does not.

Are you running Vista? Lexicon is working on some firmware and software updates to fix the problem. The only workaround is to unplug and replug your USB cable when it stops working. As long as you are actually using the Lambda, it should work.
