How to put internet on my dsi

With an online-capable game insertedinto your Nintendo DS, turn on your system and access the game's main menu. Access the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection settings.(These settings are typically found by selecting "Nintendo WFC" fromthe game's main menu. For detailed directions, consult the manual for thegame.) At the Setup screen, tap"Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings." Tap "Connection 1 None." Clickon "Search for an Access Point." TheNintendo DS will search for any wireless networks within range. Once it isfinished searching, it will display the names of all the wireless networks itfinds. Look for your wireless network. What to do next will depend on the"lock" icon you see next to your network on the Nintendo DS. If thelock icon that appears is unlocked and blue, Select "OK," "SaveSettings," and then "Yes." The Nintendo DS will run a connectiontest with your wireless router. The connection test was successful - YourNintendo DS is now connected online and you can enjoy the Nintendo Wi-FiConnection features of the game! The connection test was not successful - Ifthe test was not successful, you will receive an error code. Error Code 51300: This means the security codeor network name entered into the Nintendo DS is not the same one the router isset to. To reach your connection settings, click "back" on the errorcode screen. Make sure to pay extra attention to the security key you find inyour router's settings and enter it exactly as it appears (the key is casesensitive). For all other error codes, go to the Nintendo website or contactcustomer support. If the lock icon is locked and red, Enter your router's WEP keyinto the Nintendo DS Select"OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes." TheNintendo DS will run a connection test with your wireless router. Theconnection test was not successful - If the test was not successful, you willreceive an error code. If the lock icon is locked and grey, and you wouldstill like to connect your Nintendo DS online, you will need to either changeyour router's security to WEP, or disable security entirely. Please note thatany changes you make will affect other devices that connect wirelessly to yourrouter.

Can't get my wi-fi connection to work on it

Here's How:
  1. Turn on the Nintendo DSi
  2. Click on the wrench icon to access "System Settings."
  3. Select "Internet" on the third page of System Settings.
  4. Select "Connection Settings" and tap the "None" bar in "Connection 1."
  5. You have the option of setting up a connection manually, or searching for available connections in the area. You may also access your Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector, if you have one (the product has been discontinued). The easiest thing to do is select "Search for an Access Point."
  6. Your Nintendo DSi will list the names of any wireless access points in range. A gold, unlocked icon next to the connection's name signifies an unlocked WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) connection that can be accessed immediately. A locked gold icon signifies an encrypted WEP connection that requires a WEP key (password).
  7. If you are accessing a locked/encrypted connection, enter your WEP key. You may also click "Change Security Settings" to enter a WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) key.
  8. If your WEP key is correct, your Nintendo DSi should connect. You can test your connection to verify.
  9. You're set! Now you can surf the Internet, purchase games and add-ons in the Nintendo DSi Shop, and play games that allow wireless access and competition (with WEP connections, only).

On poke'mon platnium I tried using the gts wi-fi system but it would not work. Why? error code 51099

Error Code: 51099 This error code can occur for two different reasons:
  • You are trying to agree to the User Agreement of the Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL, but are receiving error code 51099. This can occur if the Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL tries to connect to Nintendo's servers to download the User Agreement, but there is no existing Internet connection setup on the system. To connect your Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL to the Internet, please click here.
  • You are trying to play a Nintendo DS game online with a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL, but your home Internet is set to WPA security. Please read the following:
There appears to be a compatibility issue with the security settings on your router:
Are you using WPA security?
No, I am using WEP security
If you are using a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL, you will be able to connect online and use many online features with WPA security. However, you will not be able to play original Nintendo DS games that are Wi-Fi compatible, as they are only programmed to work with WEP security. In order to play these games online, you will need to do the following (If you are not receiving this error when attempting to connect games online, click here):

  • Change your wireless security to WEP or temporarily disable wireless security if you wish to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

  • If you are unable to log into your router or do not know how, you can check our router look-up page (link) to see if it is listed. If your model number is not listed, check any similar models from the same manufacturer for default information. If you are still unable to log into your router, please refer to the router manufacturer or the company that provided it.

  • Make sure your router is not on our list of incompatible routers. If it is, we recommended using a router that is compatible or co nnecting from a hotspot location.

  • The wireless security settings are typically found under sections labeled 'Wireless', 'Basic Wireless' or 'Wireless Security'.

  • Change the security mode to WEP, and chose your encryption type. The 64-bit encryption type typically uses a 10 character key while the 128-bit encryption type uses a 26 character key. Hexadecimal keys consist of letters A-F and 0-9, whereas ASCII keys have no limitations and are case sensitive. Be sure to use the key that is listed in 'key slot 1' and make sure you are not using a 'passphrase'. For specific information about changing your security type please see your router's manual or contact the manufacturer.
  • Important Note: it is recommended that any changes made to the router are performed from a computer that is wired via Ethernet cable to the router. In addition, any changes made to wireless security must also be adjusted on other wireless devices in the home that use the router (e.g. laptops, other game systems, etc). For instructions on how to change these devices, refer to the user manuals for these devices or contact the manufacturer.

  • Establish a connection in connection files 1-3 on the Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL. Make sure you are putting the WEP key into the Nintendo DSi exactly as it appears on your router page.

If the error persists while using WEP (or if you are receiving this error with other Wi-Fi features), follow these steps:

  • Keep trying, as there may be a temporary network issue. If the problem persists, or has been consistent over a period of time, move on to the next step.

  • Configure the Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL manually
Please note: if your router is set to broadcast the network but the Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL is not finding the access point then a manual setup will not resolve the error. There may be another problem, such as interference, or a basic setting in your router that is causing compatibility issues. Be sure that your router is set to 'Enable SSID broadcast' or 'Enable Wireless broadcast'. If you prefer to keep your network name hidden, verify the correct spelling and case of your router's SSID.
