Well l just ordered the original remote for the Polaroid FLM-323B tv and I need to program that remote to the TV so that I can change the viewing size because it looks like its set on full screen instead of wide screen because the top and bottom of the screen is cut off. Can you help me with both of these issues?

The Polaroid FLM-323B does not have a QAM (clear digital cable) tuner. It only has NTSC (analog) and ATSC (digital OTA) tuners. Retrevo has the manuals for the Polaroid FLM-323B here: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Polaroid-FLM-323B-TVs-manual/id/279ag018/t/2/ . You will need to enter a code to access the PDFs.
I wish that I had better news for you.You will need a set-top box if you want to watch digital cable.
You will need the original remote in most cases and with most tvs. if you have an RCA or Sony you might be able to purchase a remote at you local walmart otherwise buy one on line. good luck. Julio at Millenium TV in Las Vegas (702) 736 1091
Even if caps do not look blow, they still can be. Check diodes and resistors on power board. Easy fix if you have patience and time. make sure you replace with a higher voltage, but same cap, resistance values.
