it could be a problem in you iPhone 3G LCD screen. if you have another 3G devices, try switching the screens and testing your device with another screen. you can easly find on Youtube the way to disassembly your iPhone 3G.

You can't send and receive files with the iPhone's bluetooth. Version 3 of their firmware will supposedly provide this functionality, but only on the iPhone 3G. (2G models don't have the necessary hardware)

Yes it can be fixed what you will have to do is restore the iPhone 3G by doing that you will have to connect your iphone to your computer and iTunes will open then under devices pick your iPhone and you will see the restore button in grey click it and presto.
