I just purchased an xbox kinnects bundle. I was doing the set up and it asked if I wanted to update so I said yes. Then the xbox turned off and will not turn back on. Please help!

Make sure your kinect is correctly plugged in to your Xbox
Make sure your Xbox power cord is plugged in
If problems continue it is because there is a problem with the kinect sensor. Having the kinect automatically turn off has become a common problem for many users. Try returning your sensor to the place of purchase and get a new one. Seeing as it is a known problem the store will likely understand and give you a full refund.
Yikes...I would check to see if the power plug did not come off the xbox, then check the outlet to see if it's working, I would then remove the xbox kinnects bundle, then turn the xbox to see if its working. Then start allover. Good Luck!!
I fixed mine by going into system settings, network settings, test xbox live connection. When the test is initiated it logged out my profile. The test completed with no problems, then while my profile was logged out it asked me if I wanted to update. I said yes, and the update went off without a hitch. I am pretty sure this will work and am fairly certain it has something to do with updating while your profile is logged out. As far as I understand it the only way to attempt an update while no profiles are logged in is immediately after a network test.
My xbox did the same thing, this is how I fixed mine. After I got the message saying the update was unsuccessful, I went to settings, and network settings. I tested the network connection and the test came back with no problems, but before my xbox signed my profile back in (your profile is automatically signed out when you do a network test) it asked me again if I wanted to update and I said yes, this time it worked without a hitch.
I got an error on my xbox also stating that the update was not successful, I went into the settings menu, then to network settings, I tested my network connection and everything tested OK, but before my box signed my profile back in, it asked me if I wanted to update and I said yes. This time it updated with no problems.
