I sell lots of new and used parts for various coffee machines, but specialize in Krups. If interested in purchasing a Krups brew head seal at a resaonable price, contact me at [email protected] and I'll make arrangements. I purchase the groups seals directly from Krups and they will arrive sealed in the manufacturer's original plastic packaging. I accept Paypal to make the transaction safe and secure for us both.

SOURCE: When I make coffee, there

there are several places where this machine can leak. Check all the connecting hoses from the boiler , they are just clicked in by holder pins.
Even the seal in the boiler itself can be worn.

Oh by the way the seal on the spout which goes into your brew group can be damaged too. Check that first

SOURCE: Saeco talea touch - grinds & brews coffee into grounds drawer??

Try this, adjust the grind to a coarser setting atleast 2 numbers, then remove brew unit and look behind at white plastic valve, there is a small chamber under valve make sure chamber is clean and that the small discharge from chamber to drain tray is also clear. Then remove shower screen from brew unit and clean if necessary, also check the tube from the shower. Reinsert and test.

SOURCE: Gagggia Platinum Swing no longer makes coffee

It seems that the coffee solenoid valve is the problem. It does not open since the noise indicated that is damaged, so you will need a new solenoid valve. If you manage to reassembled it then you can try to remove the internal body with spring inside solenoid with this the valve will be always open and you will have continiues water from the group shower. If this happens than you are 100 % that the valve is the problem.
Good Luck

Saeco Vienna deluxe leaks from above door panel

If your Saeco Vienna Deluxe espresso machine is experiencing leaks from above the door panel during coffee brewing, even after cleaning and descaling, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and address the problem:
  1. Check Brew Group Seals: The brew group is a critical part of the espresso machine. If the seals or gaskets on the brew group are worn or damaged, they could allow water to leak out during brewing. Inspect the brew group and its components for any visible signs of wear or damage. If necessary, replace the seals or gaskets.
  2. Check Door Seal: The door seal or gasket that creates a seal between the door and the machine's interior could be compromised. Inspect the door seal for any visible defects, cracks, or damage. If the seal is not making proper contact, it could lead to leaks. Replace the door seal if needed.
  3. Overflowing Drip Tray: Ensure that the drip tray and the drip tray float are functioning properly. If the drip tray is full or the float is stuck, it could lead to water overflowing from above the door panel. Empty the drip tray and ensure that the float moves freely.
  4. Brew Unit Alignment: Make sure the brew unit is properly aligned and inserted into the machine. If it's not properly seated, it can cause water to leak during brewing. Remove the brew unit and reinsert it, ensuring that it clicks into place securely.
  5. Clogged Drainage Channels: Check for any clogs or blockages in the drainage channels or tubes inside the machine. If water is not properly draining, it can result in leaks. Clean out any debris or buildup that you find.
  6. Water Tank Seating: Ensure that the water tank is properly seated and securely in place. If it's not properly positioned, it can lead to water leaks.
  7. Internal Hoses and Connections: Inspect the internal hoses and connections for any signs of leaks or loose connections. Tighten any fittings if necessary.
  8. Professional Service: If the issue persists after checking and addressing the above potential causes, it may be best to seek the assistance of a professional technician or service center that specializes in Saeco espresso machines. They can diagnose and repair more complex issues that might be causing the leaks.

Pasquini livia 90 leaking portafilter

First, I'm not a Pasquini representative.
* Check your warranty. Call for service
* Check with coffee vendor (may have a espresso tech.)
* Support; https://pasquini.com/pages/support

*** Following is for information only.***
* Service should have fully tested unit prior to releasing it to the owner.
* Check the portafilter(s) Brand. (Just because it worked earlier, the new gasket may be correct and the previous gasket was another brand)
* Check the portafilter(s) baskets for dents, flat areas on lip, and clogged holes in baskets.
* Replace worn dump box rubber bumpers (the part that gets hit with the portafilter.) If the metal bump support rod is exposed then this metal to metal contact will damage the portafilter and basket.
* Check for the correct (brand) baskets. Some are flat edged while others have a rounded lip.
* Check for portafilter "Port" if it's clear of obstructions (old coffee)
* Some portafilters come with a built in flow restrictor that needs calibration or cleaning.
* Re-check group head for miss mounting, damaged gasket or group head.
* Check if leak has coffee in it (leaking group head at or near gasket)
* Check if leak is clear. (leaking before group. Solenoid group valve.
* If leak happens all the time even without dosing then check the group head plumbing for leaks.
* Testing after gasket change( Note problems mentioned); https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEmIsKFB7So
* Shot Demo; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htJEdA_nAIs
* Cleaning; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aueYkiAamSs
* Back flushing; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PsFa7exm2I
* Vendor's review; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZiE4h5_X5c
* Vendor's compare; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxsyrnVM8ws

Aloha, ukeboy57

PS; If everything checks (and new) but still leaks. Have the Service tech double check the parts in Group head assembly and the portafilters used as there may be a part miss match (wrong brand used.) I've found that group gaskets come in all sizes and thickness even from the same company. It may look the same but if you take a micrometer to check, it's different.

My Rancilio Silvia won't pump water out of the head all of a sudden. It had worked for years up to this point

It may be that the 'shower screen' which is a perforated metal disk filter that fits inside the head has reached its use by date.
These can be found and bought on E-bay for about $15 each, make sure you buy a genuine Rancilio replacement, while you are at it, replace the rubber 'group seal' - a rubber ring for pressure sealing the head/arm after filling the arm with grounds - these are a similar price. If you get leaks around the head while making a coffee, the seal is worn out.

When brewing with the X1, water starts leaking from the underside of the top where the brass filter holder connects to the machine. Tightening the 4 nuts did not help.

HI
More than likley its your brew head gasket that is leaking. Take off the 4 nuts you hust tighten and it exposes the brew head gasket. Make sure that you put the chrome piece on the same way you took it off. Clean the head good before you put the new gasket on or you could have trouble.
I would check ebay.

I am using my new silvia with the ese pod adapter with illy pods. When I press the coffee dispense button with a pod in place, coffee begins to come out of the right orifice, then after a few seconds it...

"leaks noisily from what appears to be the contact between the grouphead and portafilter"
* Leaks from top of portafilter and group head are caused by poor sealing at head gasket.
* wipe top lip of portafilter before inserting into group.
* check if group is clear of coffee grounds, paper bits, tissue, dry crud. Use a head cleaning brush (tooth brush works) and wipe group clean (do not use screwdriver to scrape!)
* Make sure when inserting portafilter it is seated properly. (check your manual for procedure) Note the position of the portafilter handle if it's in the right position AFTER you tighten it. Is it far to the left? or stuck and barely hangs on to group?
* Barely hanging on to group? Check if pod is too big. Note; you can't double shot or use 2 pods in a single pod basket! Make two separate shots for a double.
* Handle tightens but slips off group or still leaks when pulling shot? Worn out or missing gasket. Gaskets are made of rubber and can crack, drop out, or pit. You will need to have the gasket replaced. Check with vendor or MFR for service/parts.
* Make sure you have the correct portafilter. Many look the same and may even fit but when making fine adjustments or critical shots they don't work right. Check manual or vendor for confirmation.
* Make sure you have the correct basket. The portafilters may have different baskets or cups that can be inserted. Many have special uses that can affect the pull of a shot. Fewer holes causes slower flow and longer brew time. Many holes gives a weaker shot but smoother less bitter taste. There is a blank basket that has no holes which is used for backflushing and cleaning of the group. Check your manual or vendor for which basket you should be using. Odds are that you have a standard basket ment for ground coffee and not pods. (you can remove the coffee from the pod but it will be messy.) Ask for the optional 'POD' basket insert.
* Finally if everything checks out and your still having leaks then your machine needs service as the group head or valve needs replacement. Call your vendor or MFR direct.

P.S. Looking back at my service with pod conversions, I've found that most if not all pro-machines don't really like the pod adapters. Sure it will work but shots are weak and poor. Pods really like a very tight fit with a very small portafilter basket(chamber) I mean like the size of a soup spoon! They like very slow and very hot water pumped with a vibration type pump to extract all the essence from the paper filtered coffee. Illy is an excellent coffee pod with a very rich aroma and good creme. The best for them (pods) are the dedicated pod machines (won't do ground coffee, only pods). If you must use a pro semi-automatic machine then I would suggest adding a port constrictor to the portafilter output. There may be a third party supplier that has a compatible adapter for your brand. I've come across some of these very extreme tools for the elites coffee affectionato. It restricts the flow at the output thus causing the hot water to brew longer and at a higher pressure to force the hot water and steam into each coffee grain. (think pressure cooker) Some of the better ones are adjustable. But note that these will need daily or cleaning after each use as these restrictors have very tiny holes which clog unless flushed after each use. Good luck 9on your pursuit of the perfect cup!)

Rancilio Silvia leaks around group head. Gasket seems fine.

HI
You need to change the group head gasket. They only last about 1 year and then should be changed. Get 2 because they usually fail on Friday and you have a party on Saturday.
The gaskets get hard from the heat and don't form to the filter any more so they leak.
When you get the new gasket.
Empty everything out of the machine (water tank, drip tray, etc.) Turn the machine upside down on a towel. This way you can see what your are doing.
Remove the filter screen and diffuser from the brew head. The black O-ring is your gasket. Carefully pry it out. Clean the opening good before you install the new gasket. Insert the gasket with the beveled side down (on the inside edge of the O-ring is the bevel). Once you have the gasket in place, use the portafilter to finish seating the gasket.

Leaky head and quick shots

Have a look at the seal for the group handle. I have a different machine but this may of hardened and cracked. I'm sure you can get a replacement, may be hard to remove if it's gone very hard.
