From the Operating Manual: Manual Operation for Non-Programmable Thermostats Press the SYSTEM button to select Heat or Cool and use the [Up] or [Down] buttons to adjust the temperature to your desired setting. After selecting your desired settings you can also press the SYSTEM button to select AUTO to allow the thermostat to automatically change between Heat and Cool. Manual Operation (Bypassing the Program) Programmable Thermostats Press the [Up] or [Down] buttons and adjust the temperature wherever you like. Then press HOLD. This will override the program. The HOLD feature bypasses the program and allows you to adjust the temperature manually, as needed. Whatever temperature you set in HOLD will be maintained 24 hours a day, until you manually change the temperature or press RUN to cancel HOLD and resume the programmed schedule. ____________________________________________________ *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. How do I unset a program reminder with a Technika tv? I have reminders I no longer want but can't see how to cancel them permanently.

I would say I would suggest going in performing a hard reset and resetting the unit that should erase all of the programming codes

it sounds to me like you may have a bad switch. sometimes if you get a switch that does not open all of the way, it sends a message to the microprocessor and locks it up. when this happens, the switch needs to be replaced.

Remote starter stops working every few months, I was bringing it in to have it reset every time but shop is no longer open. I would like to know how to reset the unit myself.

Use this procedure to reprogram the remote transmitters

1. Turn "on" the ignition.
2. Press the Valet Switch 5 times and wait for horn confirmation of entry into programming mode.
3. Press and release the "Lock" transmitter button on each remote to be coded (one at a time).
4. The system will respond to each with an audible confirmation.
5. Turn "off" the ignition to exit program mode.

The unit should retain the transmitter codes almost indefinitely and should not require reprogramming periodically. I suggest that you call Omega Research and Development, the makers of Excalibur, to see if your unit can be replaced. Their number is 800-554-4053 and their is www.caralarm.com

Onkyo TX-SR605 - Suddenly switches itself off and back on

HI, this is a reset procedure that this unit is trying to initiate. there has been a surge of some sort that the system has survived but, there is some lasting damage as well that has resulted in a slight programming error within the mother board.

This unit has a program that was installed at the manufacture. it runs the basic operations. there has been some major damage that is causing the internal program to stall and reset itself. the only way to reprogram is to send it back to the manufacture or, you can locate a local repair depot through Onkyo. the Onkyo techs are the only option when re programing is needed.
