Lambda lexicon sound problems: is vista the cause?

I bought a lambda lexicon in april and used it on my old PC, which was theoratically barely sufficient. However it worked fine on that and still does.
However, I recently purchased a new PC (hp pavilion a6000) and now I can't properly use the lambda because there's a cracking noise (like blown up speakers) in the output, both on headphones and via audio out. '
When I change the device setup from Lambda Asio to Full Duplex driver I do get a clear sound, but only via PC output. Any suggestions???

When i connect my headphone to the headphone jack usinga 1/8 trs connector, no sounds can be heard when adjusting the output level control. Does anyone know how i can resolve this issue so i can use my headphone when recording?

I have the same problem, on my laptop, the card suddenly send a big ''white noise burst like'' sound for a brief moment. I am using it in with my desktop with no problem so the card is working fine. Seems to be a compatibility issue. The laptop is a brand new Compaq Presario A900 with 4 gig of RAM onboard. USB2 of course. Anyone have a clue

I have the same problem. I get a pop through my speakers whenever I do anything that might need .01% of my processor. The new driver didn't help either.

I have tried everything. It happens through every output on my Lambda.

I am totally lost!! All I have is the lambda lexicon and cubase LE4 on my desktop.Apparently it is not set up correctly. I want to record guitar and voice I have sound on lambda through mike and guitar but...

All it needs is a USB connection. You'll need to go into Cubase device setup and make sure your lambda drivers are selected. Then create the audio channels in cubase with the inputs set as the inputs you're using for guitar and mic. There is a monitor button right next to the record enable button that needs to be enabled if you want to hear playback from your computer.

Good luck!

Lexicon Omega will not play any sound on Windows XP

one of several install steps (the steps seem to vary depending on which manual you can find) mention checking your sound device setup in control panel. ON one machine I installed the sound devices were not affeted. On a 2nd PC they were changed from drivers installed with PC to the Lambda driver

Win XP settings->control panel->Sounds and Audio Devices then select Audio tab. Make sure the three areas are set up to use your PC's default drivers and not lambda's.

You may need to verify this again when reconnecting the Lambda USB cable. Sort of new but ran into this "issue" as well.

Found info in Lambda Studio Software Installation Guide I downloaded, step B following driver install.

Sometimes power comes on and sometimes it does not.

Are you running Vista? Lexicon is working on some firmware and software updates to fix the problem. The only workaround is to unplug and replug your USB cable when it stops working. As long as you are actually using the Lambda, it should work.
