Where can I have a Ionic Breeze Quadra Model S1637 repaired?

I have an Ionic Breeze Quadra Air Purifier, model S1637. One of the little dangling feet broke off the bottom of the part you take out and clean. Can I just order replacement parts for that and fix it myself? If so, where do I order from. If not, is there somewhere near San Antonio, Texas I can take the unit to for repair?

Thanks!!!

    Hi:

One of the feet broke off our ionic breeze also. Where can I get parts or get it fixed?

We made do with only one of the connecter "feet" for a long time but the second one just broke too. Help!

one of the leg broke also   need part

    I have the same problem

  • Anonymous Nov 15, 2008

I had the same problem. I searched online and this is an article of special interest. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/20...

Perhaps getting that extra part number is no longer important. Sharper Image is out of business because of the model's ineffective and sometimes damaging effect on cleaning air.

I own a Quadra Ionic breeze --model S1837 (a Sharper Image design).

One of the dangling feet broke off of the removable unit when I was cleaning it. Can I order a replacement, and would I have to replace the whole removable unit, rather than one of the dangling feet??

I have an sharper Image Quadro Silent air purifier and I clean it with instructions.  I use the recommended cleaner and Windex to clean the metal plates.  I was getting really annoying hissing and I followed the recommendation of turning it upside down, blowing out the dust on the exterior plastic areas.  I did one thing more now has appeared to work, I took a cloth and used the cleaner on the plastic areas also.  For right now, it has stopped hissing.  Otherwise, it has worked very well for about 6 months.

I have 4 quadras. On two of them, one ionizer wire broke. Anyone know where I can get replacement wires? [email protected]

Replacing the ionizer wires is pretty labor-intensive (the whole unit needs to be disassembled for access) and you MUST discharge the big electrolytic capacitor on the drive board before handling it. The residual charge held in that capacitor (black cylinder with two soldered connections underneath) on the circuit board can deliver multiple VERY unpleasant shocks. The two ionizer wires are actually a single wire looped in a U shape through the machine (ends attached to springs at the top, center stretched across at the bottom) and the center is where the high-voltage connection is made. The approximately 3 foot length of fine wire can be obtained from a standard 0.009" gauge "High E" electric guitar string. Many music stores will have sets of "9-42" strings available or loose strings of the various sizes. You'll need the 0.009" or "High E" string separately or salvaged from a set of strings.

The little dangling feet of my ionic breeze s1637

The company went under and doesn't service them anymore. It's possible you could find a local repair place that might be able to do something, but there is no authorized or trained service station, and you can't get parts.

You might be able to pick up spare parts if you scour eBay long enough.

Good luck!

One of the wires on my ionic breeze quadra broke. It is one of the wires that have the glass beads on them that you clean by turning the quadra up and down. Can it be replaced and how? Thanks.

Need replacement grids for Sharper Image Model S1637 since clips at bottom have broken off of grid.

Replacement grids have been posted to ebay. You can replace the complete unit for $45 on ebay so that would probably be a better solution. The last grid I purchased on ebay for similar was around $20.

Ionic breeze model S1637 needs cartridge brushes that clip in on the bottom end (this model has two ) where can i purchase these? regards, jim

If you're talking about those little plastic tabs at the bottom, they aren't important. Their job is to wipe the ionizing wires when you take the grid out or replace it.

You might be able to pick up spare parts if you scour eBay long enough.
