I have a problem with 6610i set that I can't able to hear other person's voice -

Hi
I have a Vodafone service, I have the following problems -
1. When I get a call, I hear incoming ringtone but I can't hear the other person's voice after taking a call and
2. when I make a call, I could see that the other person's phone is ringing but I can't hear the other person's voice after taking a call.

In both of the cases, I could see the full reception and when I get/make a call, after the call I could see the display shows that how many min/secs I was on the call. Also when I make a call, the charges are also deducted. Please advise. Thanks
Moorthy

This sounds like the speaker in your handset which transmits sound to your ear is either faulty or turned down. Check the volume on your handset is set to max.

If the speaker in the handset is faulty - to trouble shoot this try using a handsfree kit which plugs in to the bottom of the phone and if the ear piece works correclty on a call through the handsfree eairpiece then your phone may have a fault.

How to set up voice mail

Verizon's voice mail service accepts messages for you when you are busy, or just don't want to answer the phone. The basic service will record up to 20 messages, with a three-minute maximum per message. The messages are held for 21 days, after which they are deleted automatically. Voice mail is usually included when you first activate your service, and you can check to see that you have voice mail from the "My Verizon" account area on the Verizon website. Once you have established you have voice mail on your account, you can set it up by programming it.

My phone keeps saying there is aproblem connecting to gprs service in your registered home network

All phones need APN setting to make them work for gprs or data functions.
You can find the settings from your network operator and then you can follow this video guide on how to enter APN settings in any HTC phone.
This is a tutorial on how to add APN settings to HTC phones for your network providers. Example phone used is a HTC Hero but process is same for all HTC models.
APN and Data Settings Change for HTC Phones
  1. Go to settings -> wireless controls
  2. Go to Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names
  3. Click Menu and select New APN
  4. All you need to add for most networks is just the APN setting which can be obtained from your simcards network provider
  5. Press Menu and Save
  6. You are ready and have configured data connection settings.
Enjoy your HTC phones unlocked for Voice and Data for any network. see video below

I have a sgh A747 and sometimes when I answer a call they can't hear my voice.

Hi,
If people cant hear your voice only "sometimes" then it should be just a signal problem. If the person on the other end of the line cannpt hear you always then the problem is with your phone. So you can give your phone to the service center.

Thanks.
