Well, I know this may be solved by now (Hope so anyway, right???) but YES IT DOES !! I just set up our new WNDR3400 this evening and my son has 240 Mbps through a Netgear WN111 out in the garage (approx. 75 ft. away...)

How do i fix a power switch on the router

Try to find another (friend or other device) power source/cable and test. Usually some other brands are compatible with the cable port.

Wireless will connect but not surf internet

Sounds like your router is connected to the modem, but the modem is not connected to your ISP. Is this a new connection or a sudden problem? Unplug power to modem and router. Plug in modem first, then router. Do you need password for ISP? If connected, recommend downloading Netgear Genie for your WNDR3400.

Hello antonhs2000,

I assume you went through the direct instructions located HERE. It does not suggest a restart anywhere on the page, so I would suggest doing that. I have always made it a habit to restart my computer after uninstalling drivers and installing drivers as well just to be safe.

The Host (wired) computer is running windows 7. The wireless computers, using Vista, cannot access host.

The NetGear WNDR3400 N600 Wireless Dual takes security very serius and therefore u should read the manual very carefully, giving attention to the pages about the different forms of connections to the router with the different forms of security.
U can access the router as it is described in the amnual, or if not U have to reset and re-initialize all connections with evtually new security settings.
U know, even a router is only a simple com-device, which sometimes hangs and needs to be re-setted.

Good luck

WN111 adapter only detects G networks, no N networks detected!!

your problem is simple and applies to most cases. It is lack of technological expertise or lasiness. By that I mean, You did not read the router manual or did not understand it. By default that router comes up in dual band mode. Meaning that it uses 2.4 Ghz for the G and 5 GHz for the N networks. If you want to benefit fully from the WN111 performance in the N mode then you must change the router to operate in a single band mode. (see the manual for the router to see how to do that). (hint: you need to bring up a broswer and type the router's IP address. netgear login standard is: admin and password is password. Go through the router setup and read the extensive explanations for each setup.
