GE Universal remote will only program in TV mode by holding down (Setup) button and when the red led stays light up... I press TV mode and then press up channel over and over again until channel changes then press enter button to save. need help ... on board TV menu will not help..

Need remote codes for sanyo tv

press the helpful button Step 1 Insert two AA batteries into the universal remote control if you haven't already done so and then turn on your Sanyo TV. Press and hold the "TV" button on the remote until it lights up.
Step 2 Input the following three-digit codes into your remote control one by one using the remote keypad: "004," "013," "049," "108," "110," "180" and "209." The TV will turn off when you enter the correct code for your particular Sanyo model.
Step 3 Press the "TV" button on the remote once more to confirm the code after you've identified the correct one. You can now use the universal remote to control your Sanyo TV.

Sanyo model # ds19310 16 jnch tv stuck on video chanel wont change to any other chanel volume works pat of menue works but the channel search and two other chanel menue controls are not available tv skips...

Hi there,

If you still have the Sanyo remote, you just need to press the INPUT button on the remote. The channel search and some other functions are disabled when the TV is in video/AV/game mode.

If you don't have the Sanyo remote, but you have a Universal remote which you use with the TV, look for a button labelled INPUT or SOURCE on this remote and try pressing it.

If you don't have any remote for this TV or you are using a universal remote which does not have an INPUT or SOURCE button, please reply to me from within this page for further assistance and let me know the brand and model number of any universal remote you are using. There is no option in the menu for doing this, but there a couple of methods which work on some TVs

Hope this helps.

My tv will work on game systems but will not change channels with the remote it is stuck on video 2

You need to change the input source to TV. You can do this with the original remote by pressing Input. (Unless the unit is in VCR mode then press TV and then Input). There is no Input button on this TV as far as I know.

If you do not have the original remote, you need a remote that matches this function. An exact replacement remote is available here: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=DS35510&uuid=12925568663700 . Some universal remotes will have this feature but usually not the cheapest ones. Make sure the universal remote was programmed at least 6 months after the TV was released. The exception: the universal remotes that can be programmed via a USB connection to your computer.

I hope this helps.

I own a symphonic 27" television

I had this problem on a symphonic 27 inch TV I just bought from a friend who no longer had a remote. The thing with the menu and buttons on the front of the TV doesn't actually change the TV to true game mode. I don't know what it acutally does, but it isn't really in game mode. When it is in true "game mode" you can't change the channels until you turn game mode off. What I did was bought a universal remote (a specific one that someone told me about) for 8 bucks at walmart and I was then able to switch to game mode with the Input select on the remote. The remote I bought that actually worked is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Magnavox-PM435S-4-Device-Universal/dp/B00006686A/ref=acc_glance_ce_ai_-2_1_tit/002-3174824-8273629
Make sure you look at it before you buy it and make sure it has a button that specifically says "input" on it. I know that some of the universal remotes don't have an input select button or one that doesn't work. As long as you get a Philips-Magnavox that has that button, you should be ok. Much better solution that paying 30 bucks for a new remote specifically for the TV. Hope this helps.

Sanyo stuck on video mode

Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!

Sanyo DS31590 31" TV Can I get the tv to go into tv/video mode without a remote but from the tv menu directly?

Nope. Remote control is required... However some universal remotes come with this button available in the preprogrammed code. I had a cheap GE universal remote that I used to replace the original when my 2 year old smashed it. I now have a sony universal remote and it's default code (one of them) for Sanyo tv's also works for the video/input button.
