As per one of my other posts:

Press the 'OK' button, then it'll prompt you to 'Save All Data To PC'. If you have dictation on the portable that you want to save, connect it to the PC and hit 'OK'. It'll go into 'PC Operation Mode' and you can transfer your dictation like you normally would. Then when you disconnect and reboot the portable, you should get the error again.

To clear the error, press 'OK' again, but on the 'Save All Data To PC' screen, instead of pressing 'OK', press 'Esc' (I think that's the other option - this is from memory!) and it'll prompt you to delete the data. Press 'OK' and it'll format the memory and reboot - then you should be good to go.

The 2003,1001 error is caused by shutting off or cutting power to the portable while it's still in the Record mode. The portable is writing to the memory, and if you cut the power, it doesn't have a chance to finish saving the dictation - resulting in a corrupted file.

I downloaded a new theme in my nokia 5220..... It did initially changed into itS new lookS but aFter 30 Seconds or so the phone restarted and juSt ShowS a white background whick keepS blinking every 3 or...

The theme "installer" is in your memory card, but themes can only be installed in the phone's internal memory. So, you better change that theme. IF you can get your phone to start, change the theme to any of the default themes and then delete the theme you downloaded.

My recorder show Data format error 1429 1001 ok Can you tell me how to fix this?

Hello I think that the error code that you are getting is because your SD card is not a fast write card, no all the SD cards are compatibles. I recommend this SD card is been tested and definably works an all the Walkabout 5210,5215 or 5220 all Firmware versions http://www.tvps.com/Products/ECS-8000079-128-MB-SD-Memory-Card-for-use-with-Dictaphone---New__ECS-8000079.aspx

Which transfer program for dictaphone m5220 works with windows 7?

You can use either Walkabout Transfer or Walkabout Write found here:

https://isupport.nuance.com/OA_HTML/csksxvm.jsp?nSetNumber=13097

Also, if you connect the portable via USB to your PC, it'll connect just like a USB memory stick and you can use Windows Explorer to transfer your dictation from the 'DSS' folder.

The device is freezing

Try formatting the memory (in the Menu, there is a 'Format' option).

*note - this will delete any dictation that is on the portable!

Dictaphone use for Medical Transcription

You'll need a digital recorder (Dictaphone makes one - a Walkabout Model 5220). Transferring a recording from an analog (tape) machine to a PC requires a patch cord to hook it up to your PC, then some sort of software to record it while it's playing back.
