No temperature increasement

Although everything seems to work good there is no temperature increasement in the ovev. Does it mean that there is no micorwave "broadcasting"? Is this a magnetron problem?
thank u in advance

Sorry , it is a Microwave. In the microwave there is no heating element, there is a magnetron tube that creates the microwaves. This is probably faulty.

Here is explained how to test the magnetron
Remember , working on microwaves is very dangerous, exposure to microwaves radiation can cause cancer and leukemia.
Contact an expert repairman to service your appliance.

Here you can order a replacement magnetron, just input your model details.

Generally, if your microwave never heats it is the magnetron.

In your case, as it seems to work on certain programs, the repairman
need to test the power diode, and check that the program control is
working, testing the timer contacts. also burnt capacitor may cause
    heating problems.

The whole thing should be around $60.

Check if your microwave is under guaranty cover and if it is worth repairing.

My kenmore microwave will not heat, everything seem to be functioning but the food does not heat.

Assuming all lights are functioning, etc. Is there anyway that it has been set in the timer only mode? Usually a microwave ( their little computer operating system)can be reset, by unplugging and leaving unplugged for a few minutes then replugging. Depening on the age of the micorwave, it may be simply worn out. the newer ones do not lst anywhere as long as the older ones did..but then they cost a lot less as well.

What does the F5 code mean?

F5 error message most often indicates a failed electronic control (although it can sometimes be caused by a failed oven temperature sensor. The sensor should be checked before replacing the control. It should read about 1100 ohms when at room temperature.

Microwave wont heat food. Everything else works.

Micorwave doesn't work when the megatron tube is out. That's probably why it won't heat up. Either replace microwave or the tube. You can get the number from Sears for the megatron tube by calling customer support.

Emerson Micorwave oven MW8108P

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose connection on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part such as high-voltage rectifier diode

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and
replacement, and disassembly information at our site, linked here on Fixya: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
