Hi there. There might be some solution out there that would work for you, KboxMod. Here it is : To reset the display settings of the Xbox 360 console to the default settings, remove any discs from the disc tray. Turn the console off and turn it back on. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time. The Xbox Dashboard resets the display settings to the default settings, and then automatically restarts the console. Note: If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn the console on by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left quadrant light illuminated. Try it a few times, some say it took a few retries to get it working. It might just need a reset of those video settings. Hope that helps, cheebster.

You cant have HDMI and the xomponent cables pluged in at the same time.
to get audio to your monitor you will need an xbox 360 audio adapter. You can find that here. http://www.xbox.com/en-us/hardware/x/xbox360hdmiavcable/default.htm
That comes with the HDMI and audio adapter.
You can probabaly find it seperate somewhere else.
I hope this helps.

this is a similar fault to he dreaded 3rrod, the mainboard warps with the heat generated whilst playing the console and it cracks the lead free solder. what you need to do is something called a reflow, strip down the machine and get the mainboard itself. either use a hot air gun (paint stripper) or something called a reflow station (what i use). you then need to go over every part of the mainboard with the heat for about 5 mins each side paying particular attention to the part of the board near the a/v output. look for something called the ANA chip and put the heat onto this in a circular motion for 20 seconds.
reflow also the gpu and lan areas and you should see some improvement.
we can do all this for you and we also change the x-clamps and use team-xecuter parts. we can get consoles working again for only £40 which includes return delivery to your door.
