What has happened is that one or more of the back light tubes were broken in shipping, AURIA used hard foam packing and the TV could not handle the shock of shipping because of BAD PACKING from AURIA. if you call customer support they will tell you that is a power supply or inverter issue but it's not it's a broken bulb, you know they know about it because they will not tell you one or the other. if you open the Samsung screen (LTA400HM01) you will see that the bottom back light bulb is broken, why AURIA will not address this issue is beyond me. don't waste you time or money on power supply or inverter boards before you look at the back light bulbs.

The most common cause of Failure in this unit is power supply failure caused by failed capacitors. A visual inspection is The easiest way to identify and confirm bad capicitors on the power supply. Such a capacitor will show one or more of these symptoms: 1) Bulging of the vent on the top of the capacitor. (The 'vent' is the impression stamped in the top of the can. The impression forms the seams of the vent. It is designed so that if the capacitor becomes pressurized it will split at the seams relieving the pressure rather than making it explode.) 2) Sitting crooked on the circuit board as the bottom rubber plug is pushed out. 3) Electrolyte (a crusty brown substance) leaked onto the board from the base of the capacitor 4) Venting from the top of the capacitor, visible as rust-like brown deposits, or a visible hole in the vent Once the power supply is repaired or replaced your tv should work normally
