I have a samsung fridge freezer model no RSH1DTMH and the fridge will not go lower than 13degrees and the freezer and water dispenser seem ok. The fridge freezer is only 3 years old. Any ideas/

We had the same fault on our Samsung American style RSH1DBRS fridge freezer as lots of other people seem to be having. After doing lots of research, we found the best solution seemed to be to buy a repair kit from Appliance DIY Repairs. The instructions were fantastic and the installation was a doddle. Excellent service & well priced.

Ck the fans and the cond coil if they are dirty clean them and it will perform better .. You may need freon or the cold control may be failing . mm hope some of these help ..

Is it an icemaker? Either the water valve is bad or the freezer isn't cold enough or the ice maker is bad. Is it just a ice cube tray? Then it's not cold enough.

Contact a professional. Sounds like either your damper door is not operating correctly and not letting enough cool air from the freezer enter, or there is an air leak that is making ice form .

Samsung side-by-side fridge freezer model RS21DCSV. Freezer is fine. Temperature keeps changing in fridge varying from 5-14 degrees and water has stopped coming out of dispenser. Have checked and...
these side by sides use an auger motor in the fridge to open and close according to the temp demand. If its eratic, either the auger is icing up at the outlet possibly due to product being to close to the outlet. On occation i have had to replace them due to being faulty.(to check, adjust the temp. and notice if there is any change on the auger.)

Do I need to install water filter? Is it critical?
The water filter is your call. This can remove sediment and some odors. If you have good water where you live, it should not be a big deal. The only thing is that it is a hassle to get behind the fridge to replace the filter. I have seen man people install their fridge without a filter and be very happy with the performance of the system. Not Critical, but some would say it is.

Samsung RSH1DTMH fridge freezer water filter replacement
The water pipe connection to the filter is a one way fitting which means that the more one pulls to free the pipe, the more the filter connection grips it. There is a circlip on each end of the filter - push the circlip firmly in towards the filter while pulling the pipe free, it should come free easily. Needs 3 hands, two to depress the circlip and one to pull the pipe free. Preferably put a container under the filter (there can be a bit of spillage) while you're replacing it and remember to test the connections once you've fitted the new filter before pushing the fridge back into place.

Samsung's instructions should be clearer.
