New fridge not cooling

There are a few things you can attempt to troubleshoot the problem if your Amana refrigerator's freezer is functioning but the fridge compartment is not cooling:

Make sure the fridge's temperature settings are set to an appropriate level of chilling by checking the settings.
The refrigerator should be kept at a temperature of 37-40°F (3-4°C).
The refrigerator may not adequately chill if the temperature is set too high.

Inspect the ventilation: Make sure that the vents inside the fridge are not clogged by food or other items, as this might hinder the airflow and prevent effective cooling.
Moreover, make sure the fridge's door is properly sealing and that nothing is getting in the way of it closing all the way.

Condenser coil cleaning: The condenser coils on the rear or bottom of the refrigerator can accumulate dirt and debris over time, which can affect the cooling effectiveness.
Condenser coil cleaning might aid in regaining proper cooling.

Inspect the evaporator fan: The evaporator fan is responsible for moving cold air from the freezer to the fridge.
The refrigerator may not adequately cool if the fan is not functioning.
You might try listening for the sound of the fan running when the fridge is operational or glance inside the freezer section to see if the fan is running.
The fan might need to be changed if it is not operating.

Changing the freezer settings won't really make a difference because regardless its still going to be freezing. The way the machine works is the freezer cools the fridge, and there should be a control in the fridge that operates the baffles in the airway between the freezer and fridge and reduces the amount of air that enters into the fresh food section.

The settings are "relative". Someone with this fridge in Montana may need to run the same fridge with different settings than someone in Texas to get the same temperatures.

Many manufacturers recommend that the fresh food compartment should be 34 degrees F, and the freezer -10 to 0 degrees F. To set this properly, place a thermometer in the freezer (that can display temperatures as low as the desired temperature). Adjust the thermometer for the correct freezer temperature before going on to the fridge. A fully stocked freezer could take 12 hours or more for temperatures to stabilize after making changes to the thermostat. Once the -10 to 0 degree temperature has been achieved, set the fresh food compartment temperature.

Place a thermometer (that can display below freezing) in a 6 (or so) oz flexible plastic cup of water and place on a shelf in the fridge. A glass of water could break if the temperature gets below 32 degrees if the water turns to ice. The water acts as a buffer to rapidly changing temperatures when the door is opened to read the thermometer. If the fridge is "full", allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize before making changes.

If the fridge and freezer are empty, changes may be seen in just a few hours or less. Otherwise, wait the 12 / 24 hours for the freezer / fridge compartments.

You may hear the fans spinning at high speeds as when the refrigerator is first plugged in, when the doors are opened frequently or when a large amount of food is added to the refrigerator or freezer compartments. The fans are helping to maintain the correct temperatures.If either door is open for over 3 minutes.

The freezer get the first crack at cooling and combination units have a fan and adjustable vents to steal some of the cooling capacity for the refrigerator. The vent are normally located in the back of the refrigerator compartment and with these, you can balance the cooling capacity between freezer and fridge. I recommend you swap your thermometer back and forth until you get the balance you want; typically the freezer should be at 5 degrees F or below and the fridge at 35-40 degrees F. Adjusting the control for temperature and having the vents set to supply the cold air you want in each compartment should give you the range you want in each.

I can find only one good reason why your refrigerator may not be cooling. There is a control board inside the fresh food compartment and no signs of a defrost timer. If there is someone that go through some test to eliminate other possible problems would be good. If the refrigerator is still running, unplug and open the freezer compartment. Remove the back panel so we can have a look at the evaporator coils. Clean or are they frozen with a large piece of ice? Let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze

On a fridge freezer only the fridge temperature is monitored. In a cold location the fridge might not even need cooling and the freezer would get too warm but the thing won't care.

If the fridge sensor sees it as too warm then it will keep the motor running and the first thing to get really cold is the freezer.

Remember the freezing part is not temperature controlled ion a fridgefreezer.
