First check the speaker setting in the menu see if the speaker is selected ON. if the speaker is on then check the SAP function of the set. check this with the remote with the MTS button on the remote. keep hitting the button untill the word stereo appears.

Connect tv to network

Get them from the net gear router if you can.
Or one of the PC's connected to the network.
the subnet and the router you need will be identical to that of the PC.
the only change you need to make to the IP address is to make sure that the last octet is different to all others on the network.
The IP address is made up of 4 octets. looking something like 192.168.1.28
or similar. In this instance 28 is the last octet.
DNS is not required for this setup.

We have aproline tv - LVD1985WD and need to set our Virgin Media Box up to it but dont know how to

they should be three ways to connect to your tv, firstly using the HDMI connection (if your using the HDMI for something else buy a 4way HDMI box), the second is to connect using the SCART lead connector, and the third is to use a VCBS connector (AUX leads, one yellow (video), and one white (left audio) and the other red (right audio). other than these they shouldn't be any other way to connect to your tv. Unless you use a S-video lead. all these ports sould be available on the back of the tv set. to use your Virgin remote with your tv they should be instructions on how to use the program codes either in the paper work that came with your tv or simply search online for the codes to your remote.

I have a toshiba 19w330db tv and already have a virgin media box and toshiba SD220EB dvd player connected. I am trying to connect a nintendo wii using the AV cable provided and am using the audio L R...

Do I understant this correctly? You are using a composite video cable (A/V y,r,w) and connecting it with the component video input (and then telling the TV to use the YPbPr source). You need a component video cable (3 RCA plugs on each end - red, green and blue) and an audio cable (2 RCA plugs - red and white) for the Wii. It wasn't included with the Wii but it does have the component video ports. Otherwise you would need a SCART to composite connector to work with the input. Alternatively, you could get an HDMI cable and connect that between the Wii and the TV (depnding on the age of the Wii).

If I've read this correctly, you have the media box and dvd player sharing the SCART input (EXT1).

I hope this helps.

My Samsung TV picture is supplied via a HDMI lead

yes you need to connect audio out from the tv to audio in on the dvd surround. you need the red/white phono to phono leads, simply connect together and select audio (av,au) on the input selection.

TV suddenly lost colour - gone black and white Virgin Media.

most likely the problem is due to a "lock up" you need to reset the system, unplug the set, and look in the back panel (I am assuming it is a digital (flat screen tv?) for a small (usuall) red nipple, again making sure the power is unplugged, depress the nipple with a bll point pen for about 5 seconds, wait a few minuets, and plug the set back in, you will most likely need to go to your menu for set up again, but you will be starting with a clean slate (so to sleak) and the tuner should then correctly pass the signal though

Problem with tv sender

Hi,i learned on another forum that if you connect an hdmi cable apparently it disables the functions of the scart sockets, especially where the remote control is concerned. This is something to do with virgin media's setup and not any equipment fault. If you want to go back to two room viewing try unplugging the hdmi lead.
