Deads'ville.
my old PC CQ60-220us, thanks for full number !!!
what os? VISTA?
those are called flash codes and have meaning!
the screen never once shows TEXT or HP /Compaq logos. right?
nothing to me means just the the TEXT IS GONE
"hit ESC to enter setup" or F2,F10,,etc....
carbon14 dated by me at 2008, ? (MY HP has F1 info page shows day made, a BIOS page F1) The year mATTERS.
steps below. for dead pc. means screen dead, and BIOS keys dead.
my wild guess, (unseen by me) is the CCFL lamps are dead.
the LCD on this PC has lamps for the back lamp that all burn out
at 20k hours of usage. (short lived, if used constantly)
other tests are: ask
here is a black screen page.

HP is the best maker of PC.s (not custom made as I do)
but has best docs.
but they do have 1 weakness, BIOS docs and Beep/blink codes
horrible support there, due to changing the rules 20 times. or more.
HP also modified the BIOS to their needs, making generic lookups
on say Award BIOS useless.. ouch.
The older the PC the worse this gets, books covering that.

Could be a bad mother board or a hard drive..see if you can connect the hard drive with a USB on another machine and run a test on it...

Have you tried attaching an external monitor when the LCD screen is disconnected from the motherboard? this connector is located under the keyboard strip – a piece of plastic just above the keyboard.
If it works, this way, then the video cable isn’t seated properly in the connector on the back of the screen.
Plugging the video cable back in should fix the problem.
I don’t know how comfortable you are with taking apart laptops but I think that this information could be useful for you.

This problem is vary common in many types of laptops , you can have many solutions :
You can use the accessibility features of Windows to audibly notify you when you've pressed the Caps Lock key. Follow these steps:
Click on Start >> Click Control Panel.
Click Ease Of Access >> Select "Change how your keyboard works" from Ease of Access Center.
Check the Box for Turn on Toggle Keys.
Click Apply. Click OK.
The ToggleKeys feature, when turned on, will beep whenever the Caps Lock, Num Lock, or Scroll Lock keys are pressed.
hope this helps
