Does the compressor make any noise at all? If not, there is a control problem. If it does make noise I need further info and details. Let me know.

Ascend commercial freezer jfd48f evap motors not working . motors are good . unit also uses 12volt dc relays.what should I check?

Your motors if good are simply not being energized. Need to get a hold of the schematic and trace the power flow from source to motor to locate the issue.

Stopped cooling and freezing and red blinking lite in the freezer. we have electricity and it sounds as if the motor is running or the fan maybe.

Not sure how old the unit is but you may want to disconnect from power source for 20 or 30 minutes and allow to cool down to run temp.

Remove the bottom panel and look to see if the condenser fan on bottom is turning freely.

If area is full of dust, clean or blow out area

Reconnect power and check for cooling

My power light won't work.freezer runs ok so far.

The repair to this depends alot on how flexible you are. It is going to require, your getting down on your side, and seeing how much access you have to the lite device.

With no model number or make it is really hard to trouble shoot this. Basically, you may have a corroded connection or a burned out bulb. You can either replace the whole lite device, or you can install a second lite device that shows the unit has power going to it.

If it were me, I would just install a second lite. If your electrically savoy, then finding a power source would not be a problem, you could attach one to the vent on the bottom of the unit. They probably are about 2-4 bucks. You could drill a small fitted hole in the vent the covers the front bottom of the unit and press it in there and route the wire to where ever you choose.

If you want to know if you have power to the unit, what I have done in my garage (I have a freezer with the same problem), I just took a cheap radio, plugged it into the same plug outlet and turned it to my favorite station. Now, when I go to the garage, if the radio is ON, I am OK, if not,,,,,,, I open to the door and check and see if things are A-OK in there and find out why my power disappeared . It has only happen to me once in about 15 years, and it was a wall socket that CLICKS OFF when a wrong variation of voltage is detected.

So, I basically listen for the radio in the garage. Hope that helps.

If you want more info, post the model/make of the unit and someone will probably jump in there and help you out more specifically.

kindly,

Jim

DO NOT TURN THE REFER ON ITS SIDE OR LAY IT DOWN ON ITS BACK.. IF YOU DO, WHEN YOUR DONE, STAND IT UP AND DO NOT PLUG IT IN FOR 48 HOURS or TWICE THE TIME THE UNIT WAS LAYING DOWN. WHICH EVER IS SHORTER.

THE GREEN POWER LIGHT FLICKERS, AND COOLS ONLY WHEN THE FAST FREEZE POWER BUTTON IS TURNED ON

This sounds like the freezer stat is gone. If it is digital, there may be a power card issue but most chest freezers are run on a standard thermostat with the capillary running up into the base of the unit. Whilst sourcing the part, put a standard socket timer on to the plug to stop the unit running all the time.

Problem with Whirlpool side by side refrigerator (Model ED25RFXFW01). Approximately 6 weeks ago, I found the refrigerator had quit cooling and ice in the ice maker was melting. The top half of the freezer...

sounds like a defrost problem ...
maybe the heater or defrost thermostat is bad...

he should bypass the timer and jump the heater to see if its woking...if not then i would remove the heating element for further testing. if the heater checked ok..it would only leave the defrost timer to blame.

good luck
