My dvd drive is not take any disk but it is opened and close & its read light is blink & a sound is heard why

When the xbox is blinking it means 2 things. the cable that connects to your drive needs to be replaced or your DVD no longer works. The connector cost around $3 or a New Drive cost around $30 on ebay

Your disk drive is going bad when it won't read any cd's, dvd's, or games it keeps saying open tray. There are different types of disk drives also, to determine yours go to llamma.com/xbox360/Xbox_360_ DVD_Comparison.htm (new disk drives normally range between $40-60) and if you choose to repair it yourself you'll need a small flathead & philips head screwdriver and a very small torq bit set to remove internal screws. It takes about 20 minutes if you know what your doing and youtube has a number of videos to walk you through it if you need them.

Use DVD Shrink & Nero Burning Rom

1. Put the DVD +R in your computer's DVD burner drive
2. Open DVD Shrink
3. With 'Full Disc' checked, click 'Open Disc' button.
4. Choose settings as required.
5. After it does the quick preview, click 'Backup'
6. When it prompts you to insert a DVD insert a DVD-R
7. Close the dvd DVD drive.
8. When done, enjoy the movie.

Is power getting to the drive? Will the tray open and light blink when closing the drive?

If so, it sounds like the lens may be dirty. There are several things you can try: Gently blow into the open drive, use a vacuum, purchase a lens cleaner.

it sounds like your dvd drive is dead if its still under warranty you should just send it back to microsoft the only other thing you could do is buy a replacement dvd drive and put it in yourself but only do that if microsoft wont take it or you'll void your warranty

In very rare instances I believe that the dvd drive of your xbox 360 might have been disconnected.In this case,it dispays an "open tray" message.For this you will have to open your 360 but please take it to the dealer if you are still protected by warranty.Good luck.Thanks for reading.

To manually open the CD Drive, straighten a paper clip and insert it into a tiny hole in the front of your CD drive and push the paper clip gently into the drive and the tray should then pop open.
Open and close this several times, then insert a disc into the drive and see if it will read the disc.
If not the drive is dead and needs to be replaced.
