Hi there,
what are you trying to connect by bluetooth? The ps3 bluetooth will only work with ps3 controller, remote control, keyboard etc... will not connect to other things like mobile phones. If what you are trying to connect is a ps3 device, make sure its turned on when doing the scan. Hope this helps

How do you connect to the ps3?

*NB: it will ONLY work for communications, NOT for game audio. (lame az, I know!)
  1. hold in the headset's power-on button until it flashes red/blue for pairing.
  2. Next make the ps3 scan: settings> accessories settings> manage bluetooth devices> register device (yes)> scan and add. (probably passkey 0000)

Kindly help me connect my samsung HM1100 bluetooth headset to my playstation 3

1) Go to "Settings" on your PS3.
2) Scroll down and select "Accessory Settings."
3) Select "Manage Bluetooth Devices."
4) Select "Yes" when the message "The Bluetooth device has not been registered. Do you want to register?" is displayed.
5)
Turn on your Bluetooth headset when asked by the message "To register (pair), you will need to prepare the Bluetooth device. For information on preparing the device, check the instructions supplied with the Bluetooth device." While each Bluetooth headset is different, for most this means to hold down the power button until the blue light on the device remains solidly lit.

6)
Select "Start Scanning" once your Bluetooth headset is in "pair" mode. Wait for the PS3 to scan for your Bluetooth headset. If the scan was successful, your Bluetooth headset will be listed on-screen. Select your headset from the list

7) Refer to the Bluetooth headset's instruction manual to find the pass key for your device (Usually the pass key is something simple like "0000" or "1234". Press "X" to bring up the on-screen keyboard and enter the pass key. Select "Enter" then "OK." "Register Completed" will display to confirm a successful connection.
NOTE: If the headset does not display after a scan, it may not be compatible with the PS3, or it is not properly set to "pair" mode. Refer to your Bluetooth headset instruction manual for directions to properly set your device to "pair mode."
If you want to check the User Manual for your Bluetooth, simply click on the following link:

I just bought my madcatz headset from the shop. Charged it for 4 hours and the red LED turned off so I suppose it is charged. Then i go to the “Manage Bluetooth® Devices.” and go to the screen where...

The power button is not the right button to press.

Here is the steps I take:

1. Power on the headset
2. Have PS3 scan for new devices
3. Hit the tiny button that is next to the volume buttons on the top of the headset.
4. PS3 should recognize "8860" and ask for a passkey which is "0000" by default
5. Paired and ready to go

Have a new motorola bluetooth h17. it pairs with the ps3 but wont connect, just error 8001000c. i even changed the audio settings to match the device and still wont connect

pairing motorola h17 with Ps3. Go to settings then to manage bluetooth scan find bluetooth (enter passcode 0000) hit triangle connect.(only first part keep reading) Now go to audio devices section under settings and change imputs to the motorola h17. If you don't go to audio devices the bluetooth wont stay connected. It will connect for like a second and stop. This drove me crazy for a day until I discover the fix. now go back to manage bluetooth and connect bluetooth and it should stay connected > you will see blue circle.

How to pair the bluetooth headset to the ps3

Hi,

This is the info i got when i was looking to pair my headset with my PS3.

1. Turn your bluetooth headset on. It should flash on/off every few seconds.

2. Go to Settings > Accessory settings > Manage bluetooth devices.

3. Put the headset in "pairing mode".

4. Start to scan for the device. PS3 should pick it up. It will display the model if successful.

5. Once it's found it hit the options button. Connect the device (pairing mode) A blue icon will pop up.

6. Your headset will stop flashing meaning it has connected successfully.

7. Go back out and click on the audio device settings.

8. Input device > select "your headset". > output device > "your headset".

9. Hit the "connect bluetooth" icon. Then OK.

10. Your headset should now be successfully connected.. start talking into it to see the bar level move up and down to confirm its working.
Hope it helps.

Best Wishes,

Karlos

HOW DO I PAIR MY PS3 AND JABRA?

Make sure the headset is off and there are no flashing lights. On ps3 go to settings and look around cuz i cant remeber were it is at but look for manage devises or manage blue tooth devices something like that. You will select that and it will ask you if you want to search for devices. WAIT! First you need to put your headset in pairing mode. Hold down the side button (the one that flashes blue when it is on) and you will see it turn on and flash. DO NOT LET GO OF THE BUTTON!! KEEP IT HELD DOWN UNTIL THE LIGHT STAYS BLUE, NO FLASHING. you are now in pairing mode! Select search for bluetooth devices on your ps3 and it will begin scanning. keep your headset close to your ps3. When your ps3 finds it, it will ask for a code. Enter 0000. Thats it! ENJOY!

Linking a BT125 Bluetooth to my PS3

I had the same problem trying to connect my old Jabra BT125 headset to my brothers PS3, here's what worked for me:

-Turn on the headset by holding down the button but keeping it down until a solid light comes on.

This puts the headset into discovery mode, you can the start scanning for the device and it should find it.
