maybe your disc is scratched. Or your dvd drive is faulty.

This sounds like a hardware issue, you need to check your error logs and see what is happening. Hard drives sometimes manifest errors like this. The Windows error logs are listed under the EVENT viewer, press start and type event. What you are looking for are errors or critical errors. warnings and information is of little concern. If these logs do not show errors, of significance, hard drive is suspect, again, as failure precludes the error being written to the disk.

u have a problem with ur registry and softwares , uninstall suspicions software and clean ur registry with reginout cleaner to fix it

go to control panel --> system --> device configuration. find and delete drives setup. reastart your computer and install it.

check another software like nero ,burn 4 free etc. and try burning again.

The DG31 supports XP:)
Install XP again. go to this site, download the XP drivers and install them and you will be fine

If you pc still reboots, then ist not your motherboard, its something else (hadware) on your pc

chek your processor, open the pan and then cleaning
after that turn on your pc
