Tuner on stero works fine, but will not play CD or USB do not produce sound. When CD or USB is in use, the displays shows that the cd or usb is playing. But no sound comes out of the speakers. I returned stero and got another one, still haveing same problem. I do not have a amp hooked up to this unit.

    I also have the same problem, if i hook up a different deck i have no problems at all, I'm very inclined in vehicle stereos and i have never had this problem before. There is nothing wrong with my speakers.

It sounds like you have some wiring issues, moreso issues with your speaker wiring, or your speakers. I would first test the speakers, 1 by 1 using a double A, or AA 1.5v battery. Each speaker wire pair should be tested by attaching 1 wire to the negative side of the batter, and momentarily making contact with the other wire to the positive side of the battery. A low popping/scratching sound should be heard from each speaker. If not, replace each defective unit. Also, double check your wires to ensure they are not damaged.

    I have the same problem. My tuner works and the front aux jack works and plays music. When I plug my ipod in using the usb, the sound shows on the display but no sound. I can plug a flash drive in the usb and it plays fine. I had the unit since December and this problem started a month ago

The MOD button selects only between Tuner and AUX. No CD or USB.
these should switch over automatically when cd/usb is inserted if not there could be a fault

I think you need to press and hold the Play button (marked PLAY/PAUSE) to switch between CD playback and the USB port (you can store mp3 files on a USB stick and play them directly) on the front of the device.

Try inserting a disc, switching the unit to CD mode, press and hold Play until the display changes and the CD spins up...

Might just work?!

I am getting sounds only out of my tuner selection (radio) source
I would start off by doing exactly that removing the black box tuner out of the equation. The next question is did you install the black box or did you have someone else install it for you. If the box is not installed propperly then the audio outs could not be wired up correctly. Double check all of your connections. It could be something as simple as bad or no power to the box.
