When I download my printer software it ask me for ipadmin username and password. I put in my user name and password and it tells me to put in the username and password of the admin. I am the admin of this macbook. What do I do?

It sounds like you've just upgraded from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8 - this is a known problem that's totally fixable, don't worry! This should sort you out:

1. Lot in to your account (You are an administrator, you said?).
2. Open up Terminal (located in /Applications/Utilities/Terminal). If you haven't used it before, don't panic - it's not nearly as scary as it looks!
3. Enter this code, exactly as written, but replace (username) with your short username - all one word: dseditgroup -o edit -p -a (username) -t user _lpadmin
4. By the way - there should be no brackets in the code. For example, my username is barnabywalters, so it would be dseditgroup -o edit -p -a barnabywalters -t user _lpadmin
5. Try installing the software again, with your password. It should work this time!
