I'll presume you can program it ( set the length of time you want to cook)
Does the timer count down?
Does the turntable ( if you have one) turn?
If everything else seems to work properly and it just doesn't cook more then likely the magnetron is bad

GE spacemaker JVM1730 the turntable stopped turning. The next day it started to turn, but stopped. I tried cleaning the parts, but no help

If the oven is STILL heating, but the carousel isn't turning, the symptoms you describe are commonly attributed to a turntable motor that has worn out and may need to be replaced. The motor is attached to the center plastic piece (called a turntable shaft, turntable ring or coupler) under the middle of the glass tray. The following link explains how to access and replace the motor:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3555716-replacing_a_turntable_motor_on_a_microwa

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The price will be determined by the model and manufacturer. This repair can also be performed on an over the range model microwave oven WITHOUT uninstalling it.

You can refer to any of the following websites for comparison:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The first three sites listed have helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you with locating and properly identifying the part(s) you may need.

The average price for a motor is about $25 to $45. If your model number is not listed at all the sites, use the part numbers from the Sears site and use them for your search criteria. The model numbers don't always cross reference, but the part numbers do. The part number for a replacement turn table motor for the model you have listed is either WB26X10233 or WB26X10038 (depends upon your COMPLETE model number). If your model number does not cross reference to all websites, use the part number from the Sears website as your search criteria.

NOTE: Even though the carousel may not be turning, you can still use the microwave while awaiting parts. You will need to physically rotate whatever you are heating about midway through the cook time to ensure even heating. Early model microwave ovens were not equipped with a rotating carousel and this was the common procedure.

GE model je 1860, the turn table doesn't work, the 21 v ac crossed the turn table, and the motor is 128 ohm as the spec. Would you think what caused, please Thanks

In GE / Samsungs that have 21VAC turntable motors and stirrer motors, the 21VAC is supplied from a tap off the internal cooling fan motor that cools the magnetron.

It sounds like you have a bad turntable motor.

The turntable system otherwise consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or possibly a bad plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

GE JE1860 Microwave is not heating

Test the high voltage capacitor, the rectifier diode.or the magnetron. If all this are fine, test the control board.

The diode and capacitors can br tested. The capacitor must be alloweddischarge before testing, or you risk to get electrocuted, even ifpower is off. Capacitors can get discharged by shorting their twocontacts.
Before replacing the magnetron test also the control board.
Replace the magnetron if the checks and all of the high voltage component tests are good, but the unit still does not heat.

All locations, and description of this parts can be located using the diagram here: Counter top.

Parts must be tested to find out what is wrong.

Remember that microwaves are potentially dangerous devices if not repaired properly, the job must be done by a competent person.
A microwave energy leakage test must always be performed when the oven is serviced for any reason.

Regarding parts, contact the seller here to purchase parts. (here in UK).

GE Microwave Model # JE1860: Unit does not heat. The timer counts down, but the oven does not heat.

When you hit Start to cook, do the inside light, cooling fan, and turntable come on?

Any unusual noises? Is it louder or quieter than usual?

These answers will help me judge whether it's in the high voltage section (magnetron, transformer, or diode) or the control section (door switch or control board relay or connection).
