Fornt load door wont unlock, Washer wont run

Hi,

First unplug the machine, then to unlock the door manually you need to remove the panel under the door (three screws at bottom of machine) then reach inside by the door lock, there will be a plastic tab hanging down. Pull that tab down and the door should unlock. As for not running, when you plug the machine back in you should get an error code and knowing what that error code is will help in troubleshooting the No Run problem. Good luck.

Did a load of laundry. door will not open. can't

This could be a momentary program glitch. In order to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU), you need to unplug the washer for AT LEAST 30 minutes. This should reset the CCU and allow you to open the washer.

If the door remains locked and still will not open following a CCU reset, the following link explains how you can use the manual release to get the door to open:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576511-door_jam_on_kenmore_elite_and_whirlpool_

You may want to try using a wet/dry shop vac to pull a vacuum on the drain hose to try to pull as much of the water (if any) ot of the wash tub BEFORE opening the door.

NOTE: Is your washer displaying any error codes? If so, the error codes will NOT be listed in the Owner's Manual. For a complete explanation of all the error codes, each one of these appliances comes with a technical data sheet inside.

To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The access screws are located under the bottom front edge of the panel. You may have to prop the two front feet of the washer up for better access ( a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel should drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.

The tech sheet lists all error code definitions, troubleshooting data, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. I mention the tech sheet because you may need it to accurately troubleshoot this problem.

Read through the information provided and let me know if you need further assistance. I hope you find this information helpful.

Doors wont open. theres a DL code

"Fdl" is a door latch error code. This is an indication of either a defective door latch, defective Central Control Unit (CCU), or an interconnecting cable problem between the two. The following link explains how to troubleshoot the problem:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r4490349-fdl_error_code

I have included parts resources, if required, and the steps required to replace any defective parts. Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. the first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

In some cases, the error can occur when the washer is in the middle of the wash cycle. If the door remains locked and will not open, the following link explains how you can use the manual release to get the door to open:

Kenmore elite front load wont spin out code says fo2

FO2 is the code for long drain. The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Pl. rate me nice for the free help!

Washer is stuck on spin and the door wont open. It is locked.

This advice is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet model front loading washers. If you experience a problem where the door becomes jammed and will not unlock or open, here's an easy way to gain access inside your washer WITHOUT calling the repairman.

1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.

Sometimes these doors will not unlock for whatever reason. If there are no error codes being generated, this could have just been a momentary glitch. If you see "Fdl" "DLE" or "Fdu" error codes, these are usually indications of a failed door latch assembly and will require replacement.
