Canon ZR 70 Camcorder

It will not eject the tape!

    I have two of these cameras and they BOTH have this problem. When you open the door to take out the cassette, the carrier slides out like it should, but the top part doesn't open to let you remove the cassette...then it beeps and retracts back inside.

My Canon ZR-40 Mini DV Camcorder only has a blank screen when in VCR mode. Cannot use any VCR functions. When I try to record, it says 'No Card' but there is no slot for an SD card at all.
It's possible that the video head is dirty or damaged, which is preventing the camcorder from playing back tapes. You may need to clean or replace the video head. As for the "No Card" message, it may be a default message that appears when the camcorder cannot detect a tape. Check that the tape is inserted correctly and try a different tape to see if the issue persists. If the problem continues, it may be a more serious issue with the camcorder that requires professional repair.

Sony ZR 90 doesn't accept the tape
Sounds like a problem with the ejection system. Try PhotoTech Repair Service, in NYC. They are factory authorized for most repairs, and are able to do warranty service in house. You can ship them your unit and, they are usually faster than the manufacturer, and cheaper! Plus if you join their facebook fan page they give you a 10% discount.

Tape is stuck in cannon zr 100 camera and will not eject
There should be a manual eject button. You know like on CD-ROM's there was a small whole for a paperclip to fit into, there should be one on that camera. This will eject manual, and becareful the tape might be caught on the head.

Canon ZR-800 Mini DV Camcorder tape stuck
The way I can get a tape unjammed on my Sony camera is to remove the battery, plug the camera into the AC charger that is plugged into the wall outlet. Then power the camera on, wait a few seconds. Then unplug the charger from the outlet, wait a few more seconds (camera still in "on" position) and then plug it back in. I have used this method at least 3 times to get the camera to release the tape and finally eject. However, the tape is usually pulled or stretched and I use a small flat head screwdriver to wind the tape back in, but expect that portion of the video to be ruined.

Canon zr 300 won't take tape inside
FONZIE FIX! It worked for me.

close the tape load door and with your fist, wack it. worked first time for me. the instructions were to wack it harder each time until it closes with the tape. Look up FONZIE FIX.

Canon zr300 ejects tapes
There is a fix for this which was posted for either the ZR 200 or 400. They call it the "Fonzie" fix. Just hit the camcorder with your fist on the side where the tape goes in (with the door closed). Hit it lightly once, try inserting the tape. Repeat this process with increasing force each time until this works.

Surprisingly, this worked for me. Obviously, there must be something loose for this type of solution to work. I actually had it working once, then it acted up again. I tried the same solution and it's working again. No problems for several days now.

Cassate tape will not eject from my Canon ZR85 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I found a temporary solution for this problem. When the tray with the cassette tape comes out remove the battery so that the tray will not go inside again. Now on top of the tray it will be written as "PRESS" just adjucent to it you can see a spring connected to the tray just press the string down wards and the tray opens and you can replace the battery. Hope this can help.
