The control panel on the Kenmore Oasis 27082 top load washing machine are push bottons. The control buttons on my washer are getting harder and harder to activate. However, once the machine does activate and runs a load, the next load seems much easier to start. Will replacing the control modul correct this problem, or would I be wasting my money to buy and install a new module>

ohm the release solenoid. could be shorted or open. check for voltage to the circuit

Had same problem, was only a loose connection on circuit board.

Take off the distributor cap, it is held on by two screws and has three plugs, 1 to the pick up coil, one to the computer, and one to the ignition coil.

Try this;

Install only one memory module at a time then check how much memory it will recognized. If it say 1 gb may be somehow the module is mislabel for the correct capacity. Then contact the seller for clarification.

No!! Don't get it! We have had the machine for a few years and have had several problems with it. We constantly get error codes when its mid cycle and it won't complete the cycle. I have actually gotten to know my Sears repair man he has come out so many times. Our current problem is that small items of clothing slip through the crack when we are unloading the machine. They are then trapped under the drum and cause problems including major mildew smells and eventually the machine stops working, The repair man comes out and removes the drum, pulls out the mildew sock or whatever and then its ok. Very poor design!
