I can log on to my wireless account and get online, but then it i lose the signal, and when i scan, it picks up signal stenght on 90 % but wont connect, I can hard wire it and i get online with no problem, If I shut the system off and restart it, it will scan and pick up my network and allow me to log on. But if i lose the signal i have to shut the system off to find it again. So for wirless service i keep having to cut the system off and on for wirless service. I was wondering if the wi fi wirless is not fuctioning properly.

The problem lies in the wireless connection. Either the wireless adapter on the game console, or with your wireless router. Although wireless internet makes it easier to get online and play, it is actually the worst choice for online gaming. this is due to the lag time in the signal relay to the router. Wired internet is the best choice for online gaming. If you can hook your console up to a wired internet connection, then I suggest you do that.

Received Nintendo DSiXL for a Christmas gift. Having trouble connecting to the internet. Asking for a security Key? ?

Under nintendo settings internet connection, scan for hot spot and unless your wireless router is unsecured you need to provide the wep security key or change the settings. Your security key is the 12-13 character password used to setup the wireless router if you secured it. If you do not have a router and your picking up a signal you will not be able to log on without the key.

Lose router signal everytime i restart my laptop

This seems to be an issue with the router itself. As the laptop is able to connect to other networks easily, the trouble seems to be with the router.

Try updating the firmware on the router. Also, change the wireless channel on the router and check if that helps. If the issue persists then I believe you will have to get the router replaced.

Bad connection

Hi i'm ryan, To play online you will need to be close to a wifi location. If you have the internet you will need a wireless router to connect the PSP to. I just recently got a wireless router and since its in the house i have 100% signal connection. If you are using a wifi that you are picking up that is not yours the signal might be weak, or interupted and you will loose connection.

Wireless not working

Yes, There could be alot of things that are causing your Operating System to not obtain signal from your Wireless Router....I would first of all try troubleshooting this by;;
1st - Unplug your High-Speed Internet Modem and Wireless Router for 30 seconds apprx.
2nd - Restart your Computer.
3rd - Once your computer is logged in and at desktop, Plug-In your High-Speed Modem then wait until all lights appear that show your Modem is online then plug-in your Wireless Router then wait about 30 seconds then try to connect to your Wireless Connection.
If these do not work make sure that, you do not have your Wireless Router. I would also recommend that a way to create and obtain a signal strength that the computer can reach please go to the following website http://www.mythings.com/tips/1664/Where-to-Put-Your-Wireless-Router This should assist you with making a stronger signal strength.
