Both the Hotpoint WD63 (wash dryer) and the Hotpoint WM22 (washing machine) have a drain filter in the sump hose at the bottom of the tank.

This filter is a last line protection for the pump and is not designed to be cleaned on regular intervals by the user.

If you have located the fliter, then grasp the filter cover, and twist and turn to the left to remove the filter

Hi, yes it is. Hotpoint bwm12 is a built-in washing machine, the filter is located at the bottom (black round knob). Undo the filter by turning it to the left (please be sure there's no water inside the machine, or getas much as possible out before opening the filter).

Good luck. All modern washers that I know dont have the filter you need. If a clean out is needed you will have to clean out the pump.

It is possible you have got something stuck in filter, and this is what is stopping it coming out, you are turning it the right way, you will just have to stick with it, and keep trying to ease it out.
Keep trying to eaes it in and out, and you should be able to remove it eventually.

most hotpoint have a hidden filter
take back bottom panel off. you will see a large diameter hose coming from tub to pump. undo hose at tub end. filter is inside this hose. take it out and clean it

The filter is located behind the removable lower rear panel.
Undo the clip that secures the large black hose to the bottom of tub.
Remove plastic filter and clean, replace , making sure the hose is securely fastened, and test for leaks.
