I have a 1999 3.5 Camaro. Whenever I lock the doors using the transmitter or the power locks to set the OEM alarm system, about 2 seconds after shutting the doors, the alarm activates. Other than the alarm...

Hi there sir . This is the only way to solve your problem. Goodluck and let me know.

The shock sensor is what triggers the alarm when it
detects a blow to your vehicle. It is located over the
right rear wheelhouse near the spare tire in the hatch
area. There are two levels of alarms via the shock
sensor. Two horn blasts and parking lamp flashes for
non
-threatening blows to the vehicle and a full
two
-minute alarm for harder blows to the vehicle. Its
sensitivity can be adjusted if more or less sensitivity is
desired. If sensitivity is increased too much, it may give
false alarms caused by gusts of wind or other natural
events that may shake the vehicle.
To adjust, remove the label covering the adjustment
**** and adjust as desired. Turn the **** clockwise to
increase sensitivity and counterclockwise to decrease
sensitivity. The shock sensor is ignored by the alarm
system when the ignition is on, when the hatch is open,
when the alarm is disarmed, when customized to be
ignored and for five seconds after the horn sounds an
alarm or chirp. The shock sensor is ignored after
triggering three full alarms until the system is rearmed.

How do I set the time and alarm on the TDK TA4210BK, I've lost the manual and can't find anywhere to download it from.

Its actually really irritating. You have to turn off all the alarms i.e. so no little bell icons are showing in the display and also turn off the radio i.e it shows OFF. Then, and only then, if you hold down the SET button you will be taken to the time setting menu which starts with a blinking 12H sign. Once in this menu its like any clock radio - you push up or down on the right hand side to select higher or lower numbers and hit SET again to progress to the next feild. You must complete the entire setup menu i.e you must keep hitting SET until you are back at the main screen or it will just forget what you entered go back to whatever it was before you started. Very opaque if you dont have the manual, so I thought everyone else could get 45 minutes of their life back. BTW, the holding down SET with the iPOD in the dock doesnt work for me - its supposed to according to some entries on the web.

Lost instruction manual for streetwise motion activated alarm with auto dialer

You could try

operatingguides.com

if you need a user manual
or

servicemanuals.co.uk

if you want the schematics etc

We've used them in the past and found them very good.

Also if it is not listed then ask via the link and they
will probably be able to get it for you.

Turning alarm on and off

I'm afraid I don't have a manual, but I could walk you through the steps...

1. Press the clock/sleep/timer button twice.
2. Press enter button.
3. Turn dial to set hour for alarm to start.
4. Press enter button.
5. Turn dial to set minute for alarm to start.
6. Press enter button.
7. Turn dial to set hour for alarm auto-shut off.
8. Press enter button.
9. Turn dial to set minute for alarm auto-shut off.
10. Press enter button.
11. Turn dial to select either Radio or CD alarm setting.
12. Press enter button.
13. Turn dial to adjust volume of alarm.
14. Press enter button.
15. Press standby button. Alarm is set.

I hope this helps! Best of luck finding a manual if you still need one. :)
