The c2 chain oil is the best that I've found, and nothing else that compares.
Don't use 3 in 1 oil on your chain, unless you like breathing toxic fumes while you're rowing. I am using this rowing machine Concept2 Model Indoor Rowing Review

Clock Bushing Replacement

BUSHING TIPS



-One of the most common stoppage problem is caused by increased friction and mostly due to lack of incorrect amount of or lack of oil. If discovered in time, the movement can be cleaned and oiled with only high quality Clock oil, then it will be good for another 5 years or so. Insufficient lubricants eventually cause wear in the pivot holes and/or bushings.
-After a pivot is worn it will change the depth of the wheels and pinions to such an extent that the power train will stop due to improper gear meshing. Wear causes a pivot hole to become egg shaped.

HOW TO TEST

-One testis to completely let off the power from the power train and rock the main wheel back and forth. Then you will clearly see the pivots that have the problem jumping back and forth.

WHEN DO YOU NEED BUSHING REPLACEMENT?

-One rule of thumb used by many repair persons, if a bushing is worn one third or more the diameter of the pivot it needs to be replaced.
-Above is Two example of a worn pivot's [note the black gum med up oil around the pivot in photo above]. This is a dead give away of a potential problem.

centerline PIVOT

-Before disassembly, mark all bushings that need replacement in the correct geometrical direction of centerline.
-Complete disassembly of movement is required.
-Then you will need to file out the exact opposite direction with a small file, this will ensure that when you start drilling out the hole it will be centerline.
-Set-up the drill press and lock the plate on to the drill press making sure you find the centerline of the original pivot hole. Use a steel short stock the same diameter of the old pivot and chuck it in the drill press after the plate is secure, select the proper bushing that you intend to press in.












PRESSING IN THE BUSHING
-With a small broach taper slightly the inter plate before the insertion of the bushing. Do this from the inside of the plate, this will ensure that the bushing will never fall out.

-Select a bushing that is a bit undersized after it is pressed into place, then open the hole up to the correct diameter.
-Use the drill press to push in the new bushing from the inside plate out.
-Be sure to broach out the pivot bushing in both directions, this will leave the hole in an hour glass shape ”===)I(===” and will reduce friction.

COUNTER SINKING.

- Counter Sinking is very important and not only needed to hold the oil in place but also to reduce the amount of actual friction on the pivot. [Note:] don't get carried away the first gears tend to have a lot of torque on them and a lot of bushing surface is needed; however, the final pivots do not and are very sensitive to friction.
-Barrel Bushings, these are often overlooked. This is an example of a bushing before and after replacement.

Oil leak

First of all you must locate the oil leak if is from top rocker covers, timing side crank front oil seal,rear crank shaft oil seal? Is it from the oil filter?,or is it from the front lower wishbones inner bush. That bush is filled with hydraulic fluid,and most probably that is your oil leak..If is from that bush the thing you do is just to renew the wishbone.

Shop vac whistles

If you let it continue, you will have a piece of junk. You take the bolts off holding the motor cover on and you lubricate the upper bushing with oil. They are oil impregnated bushings and will soak up a thin type oil best and last longer. Use 10W or 3-in-1 oil or Marvel Mystery oil.

I have a 97 wide glide with16,000 miles oil light stays on and a ticking noise started i shut off bike right away, could it be oil pump not working making lifters and cam to make a ticking noise?

doubt if it would be an oil pump
the copper shavings are more likely to be from rocker shaft /arm bushes
If the bushes have failed then there will be a reduction in oil pressure putting the light on
cam shaft bushes and big end bearing failure is normally a grey metallic in the oil
talk with an accredited shop for a proper diagnosis.

Electric motor makes screeching sound and stops running.

The motor has worn bushings making the motor shaft hot and swell and eventually seize. You can let it cool off and it will more than likely run again until it heats up again. The motor will have to be replaced if you want to repair it.

Car pops when driving over curb into driveway -

Check the bushings in the wheel well that is making the noise - it could be a ball joint, sway bar end link, control arm link, or even an upper strut mount. Lots of things can cause the noises like that, but usually they're not too hard to see - failing bushings usually have visible tears and/or leakage of fluid.

We replaced the camshaft and bushings on the Q Link 200, and it seems to be overheating. What could be the problem and is it a common problem on this bike. It has less than 4000 miles on it!!!!

The original cam and bushings were replaced for a reason. The reason is still there. The only thing that would cause the cam and bushing to wear so badly is a serious lack of lubrication. Normally the OHC is going to last the entire life of the bike and then some.

You need to find out what is stopping oil from getting to the top end. Bad oil pump? Plugged up oil passage? Little oil in the crankcase? Plugged up oil filter? Bushings in backwards covering the oil feed hole? Head gasket upside down and blocking the oil flow? The problem is not going away until the cause is found.
