A friend gave me an old Samsung g600 phone as i broke my last mobile. I had to type the *#7337# code to unlock the vodafone phone to get my O2 to work, but now it is stuck on limited service and the IMEI...

If your IMEI is coming up as 00000 0000 000 then your phone is essentially a brick. No codes or new sim cards will change this, plus no phone retailer or mobile unlocking business in your high street is going to go anywhere near it because they will be scared that its a stolen handest.

The only solution is to plead with someone in a mobile phone shop that you followed an idiots advice on the internet and typed the code *#7337# and reset your IMEI and you want it changed to the original IMEI on the back of your handest, or possibly send the phone back to the retailer. Will cost at least £20 to sort this out and allot of hassle im afraid to anyone who has done this.

My samsung g600 was on o2 since i put a unlock code 7337 in it wont except o2

The unlock code 7337 does not work for all the phones. Every IMEI number has the unique unlock code. You need to get the unlock code through online..........i will suggest the website http://www.unlock-zone.com/ which is doing good service .....you can approach this website.
This site is nearly perfect and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums. I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.
Hope this helps.

Phone lock needs unlocking - samsung g600

switch the phone on without a sim card,
type in *2767*2878# WAIT for it to reset,
once it boots up itself, the phone code is now gone,
if the phone is asking for a SIM LOCK password
then send it to someone who has the equipment to unlock it
