Directly connect the dsl modem to your pc and then restart your system. once your up and running the pc should automatically create a connection with the modem device. once you have established an internet connewction this way, shut down the system and reboot. after complete bootup, unplug the power supply cords to both the modem and the router. now plug im the modem, wait 1 minute and plug in the router. after about a minute you should now be able to connect to the internet both by your pc and wireless connections.

The internet connection is fine (DSL AT&T).

1. You may have a an IP address conflict.
2. check the device connected to the router
all computer need to be connected at the same time.
3. Bring all the computers up one at a time and this should resolve the address conflict.

One of two HP laptops connects to network but quit on Internet

did you play with your wireless router settings..?? When it is shown as unidentified, you have most probably set as hide network name . other computers may show up the name if you have saved the network settings on them at least once.

Drivers are fine as they are able to detect the network.

Wireless Home network will not stay connected to internet

So you have a DSL modem connected to a router connected to a wireless router connected to both your computers? Sounds like you need to just get a wireless modem and throw all the routers away.

No internet connection

This should be connected as so. From wall outlet to DSL modem, from DSL modem to D-Link router, From D-Link router to Laptop via wireless or wired connection. You will still need the DSL modem installed but the wire coming from the DSL modem will go to uplink port on the router instead of into the laptop.

Linksys Wireless-N pci adapter model wmp300n

If it says local or unidentified network that means you are just connected to the router on the network but not through the internet. Try to go to manage wireless network, remover your network there and add it again, connect to your own network and make sure to type the correct network key., then check again. You can also try connecting to other wireless network to further isolate the problem.
